Thought this needed it's own thread.

I installed it on my iPad 2017 version and my iPhone 7+. Installation went smoothly, and I gotta say I like this version better than 10.x. It feels smoother.

Here's a list of all changes in 11, for those who don't already know.

iPads get some new multi-tasking features.

I love it so far, especially on the aging air 2.

Keyboard is really nice, although I panicked a bit when I thought I lost the quick accent features for my Spanish lessons. Quickly fixed though.

The multi task feature is nice, but it seems some apps (Safari/YouTube side by side) feel glitchy when trying to move or close one of them. The grab bar doesn’t seem to respond sometimes.

Fast and smooth too. Feels like a new device. :)

They removed the 3d touch gesture to invoke app switcher. Why? Because Apple. **** Apple .

They removed it because on the iPX you slide across the bottom to bring up the app switcher. They didnt want to have 2 gestures that do the same thing. They just didnt bring the gesture to the current phones. They just took away the 3d touch one.

They are selling 6S, 7, and 8 phones that can take advantage of the gesture, and now these 6 different models don't have a 3D touch shortcut for that function. There is no excuse for removing it. Maybe they should have removed all TouchID functionality for previous devices since the X doesn't have it

Honestly I've found Apple's 2FA more trouble than it's worth. I turned it off.

iOS is becoming laggy like the Android of old and Android is getting smoother and getting additional nifty features that Apple die-hards will undoubtedly have to wait years for. I mean, I just picked up an iPhone 8 and am gonna give them another year. If iPhone 9 fails to impress guess what? It's Android time. No amount of fanboism will make me stick to a dated platform that long.

11 apparently has some severe issues with lag and the recent update was supposed to fix it. A support tech is supposed to call me in 45 minutes, so I'll have more info after I find out what the phones diagnostics showed them...

Have some questions about iOS 11's App Store.

1. The "Today" tab does not automatically fresh content for the next day. You have to close out the App Store app through the app switcher and then re-load/open the App Store for it to show the next day's content. Will this be fixed later on or is this how it's going to be?

2. In the "Updates" tab, updated apps that have been there for quite some time are not disappearing like in iOS 10. In iOS 10, exactly after two weeks the app would disappear from the "Updated Recently" list. This is not happening in iOS 11. Again, is this how it's going to be or will it be fixed later on?

Not sure if it's because I've got a 5S, but I've noticed my phone acts much slower on common tasks like swapping apps and some apps are slow.

Maybe I'm not understanding this right, but why would the phone feel slower on iOS 11 over iOS 10? Both OSes feel almost the same, look almost the same, but there are some new features in iOS 11. That's all. Does Apple purposefully slow down older phones with new updates? What I'm trying to get at is it's not like going from Windows XP to Windows 10.
