I just cant freaking belive it. Nvidia was doing application detection cheating in 3dmark01 also!!! Again relating to shader performance in GT4 of that version. It goes all the way back to origiaonal magical Shader improvements in the origional det 40's.

Keep in mind Ati has not been tested yet. They could be guilty to. I dont want to be unfair here heh ;)

Nature 42.8 fps , This is so true , when i first owned my ti500 there was always somethin fishy about the nature test. it was always higher then people on different types of videocards (faster then the ti500) i bet the ti500 is the same.
 
I guess we can no longer trust any synthetic benchmarks anymore. Its a shame...well like I said before (Ice Cube says it nicely too)

Well, let's see if anything comes out of this...and if ATi is guilty as well. How could a consumer ever trust NVidia again?????
 
I wonder it this was brought to Futuremark's attention, it anything would be done. They say any "cheats" will be frowned upon and then removed with a patch for the benchmark. So, someone should get in touch with this guy and see if he has contacted Futuremark.

thats what nvidia want you to think....we just cant trust nvidia in any synthetic benchmarks anymore!

Honest, I'm having trouble working up me angst against nVidia anymore and it's just sort of what I'm expecting from them. :(

On the brightside, I'm really gonna LOVE to watch [t]ardOCP & Kyle try and wiggle their way around this one...is 3dm2k1se a "synthetic benchmark that isn't indicative of real-world gaming"? :lol:

If nothing else, this will either change or totally discredit [t]ardOCP and all the other "pop40" hardware sites out there that are billing it as un-important...they've been doing it since the whole 4x.xx series was released! :D :lol:

Poor Brian, I better send him a quick letter to cheer him up....

Well we have to throw out synthetic benches in video card reviews because they arent on the most level playing field as possible. I mean I''ll use them to compare perf. of past drivers/computer upgrades/tweaks/overclocking. But I'll be wary of results in reviews. Videocard companies should just give everyone who wants one a sample to review on their system...lol :D

Let me guess what [H] take will be.... We have suddenly realized 3dmark01 is a sucky stupid benchmark. not indicative of games. All its scores we have ever posted we take back. Becuase its clearly a worthless benchmark and has nothing to do with the ever Growing Rabbit hole of Nvidias creative approach to benchmarks which we FULLY endorse

I was really tempted to do something like that too there, but I'm still "voting with me wallet" on his site and refuse to give 'em my click.

Well it seems whatever you do and people accuse them...

Nvidia will be always get away clean from these with their smart strategies :(

Even with these i am sure Nvidia boys will say again these is optimization (in 3d mark0 2001)

Nvidia always have a way to make the others (like futuremark) to agree with them or bury some things about their OPTIMIZATIONS (maybe by bribing or who knows what...)

Ati has to find it's way with all these...if they want to stay on top (and not only in hardware but with new generation drivers as well)

Already there are some information with a NVidia chart leaked in the internet showing Nvidia release dates for their next gen GPUs (Nv40,Nv42 Nv45,Nv39 etc)....
They even saying about new Gpus using the new port PCI express (except NV40) and about the new Detonators 5xxx as well..ATI has to head front quickly
 
While I really hope its not true, it seems nVidia cares. In the newest MaxPC for the review of the 5900 Ultra, 3 of the 7 benches are 3dmark2k3. In PC Gamer, two out of the 6 benches are 3dmark2k1, and 3dmark2k3.

Millions of readers read it, and Id bet most of them care what the scores are for them. The "hardcore" group may not like 3dmark anymore, but the vast majority of people rely on it to buy a new card. And nVidia knows this.

Im hoping there is some kinda error with this, and they didnt cheat, but it looks as though they did.
