Going on now for 8th year! I hope it has helped you as it helped me keeping my backlogs in check while enjoying my games.

Not every month someone will be finishing a lot, as there are months where a person just can't finish anything. Then you got that streak going in another month.

Also, if you plan to replay the game, it is fine but don't repeat it at a later month as first completion is what counts.

Another thing is the criteria of what is considered completed in unclear games such as team based multiplayer games; I would say set a target for that. E.g. I considered Overwatch completed when I reached level 100. Or when I finished story mode (which was a long movie sequence) in Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator. You decide what you consider is completed as long as it is reasonable to a certain extend and correlate-able to a single player experience.

DLC completed at a separate time from the main game and has enough content (+1 hour) can be counted as a separate completion.
Console completions can be accepted as long as the main focus is still PC overall.

Completed Games:
743-Granblue Fantasy: Relink
744-Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen

Glad to see the forums going strong and stable. With that said, my completions have been slow but still there is progress:

743-Granblue Fantasy: Relink: This is actually Monster Hunter Anime! It is quite fun and more so with a group of friends. It also has afk farming options due to AI teammates. Overall, a great game if you are into that. Do not expect a standard RPG. I expect to continue playing this as new content gets released.

744-Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen: Been in my library for years!!! Started playing it a week or less before Dragon's Dogma 2. Glad I did. It wasn't what I expected but it is a great game. I mostly focused on main story. It isn't too good on anything specific but overall a good game. You do not need to play this to enjoy Dragon's Dogma 2 btw.

Five in March,
Warlord Brittania - A great idea but underdeveloped and unbalanced. I'd pretty much won the game in a third of my playtime with the rest just being cleaning up.
Hardspace Shipbreaker - Rather enjoyable. Surprisingly so given it's a game about hard, explotative labour.
The Excavation of Hob's Barrow - Not bad horror point + click.
Paradise March - Short but cute.
Howl - Simple but enjoyable strategy/puzzle game.

4 games.
Tomb Raider 2, too much shootbang, and the levels are too linear.
Tomb Raider 3, The best playing game out of the first TR trilogy, but the level design can be so frustrating in some levels/episodes.
El Paso, Elsewhere, the gameplay does not hold up for 50 levels, would have been a much better game with 20-30 levels.
Trepang 2, I expected fear, I got a game where you slide all over the place, not my cup of tea.

0.

I recently sold my desktop PC (since it was 12 years old now) and got a MacBook (my first Mac) so gaming is currently off the charts unless I get a console or a new desktop PC.

4 for me.

Robocop: Rogue City: I'm not sure what to make of this one. The story is Robocopy but the side stories/missions were severely lacking. Going back to the HQ for every mission was not annoying, but I didn't like that the leaderboard for target shooting got erased every visit. Game looked amazing at times but at other times fell flat, and was always a little blurry on the edges. Once you upgraded to a certain point, you really did start to feel like an unstoppable killing tank-man, and that was gratifying. Overall 7/10

Saviors: Not much to say about this one. Difficult vertical shooter that focuses on timing kills to keep the combo timer alive, to get more points, to get more upgrades, and if you start off on the wrong foot in the first levels, you'll have to be a miracle worker to survive the later levels. Been trying to finish it for years, and finally did this month. Mostly mediocre production value/game.

God of War: Absolutely nothing negative to say about this game. Everything about it is meticulous, meaningful, and deliberate. I'd have gladly paid full price for it if I'd known what I was getting into.

Immortals of Aveum: High-budget, short campaign. Well worth the $19 or whatever I paid for it. Main character was really annoying and hard to relate to. The combat/combat modes were brainless (see a blue enemy, switch to your blue weapon, etc.). Constantly reminded me of Lichdom: Battlemage, which is a much more difficult, much more complex combat system. The story/lore is unique and well thought-out enough it's almost worth playing through just for that. Unfortunately the graphics fall short especially with the laylines and copy/paste in many areas. It does have a decent after-game mode similar to God of War where iff you enjoyed the combat, you can find some really challenging things to do.

Finished 5 games in March: God of War, Deliver Us the Moon, Lone: Far Sails, The Last of Us, and Jusant.

Now playing Horizon: Forbidden West

7 for me, good month although a few shorter games helped.

Pacific Drive, The Outlast Trials, Outcast - A New Beginning, The Room Two, SteamWorld Dig 2, Between Horizons, Open Roads

Two.

Metro: Exodus (7/10) - Overall I still enjoyed it, but I think Metro loses something when you're outside of the, well, metro. On paper it seemed like it should have been an amazing game, but it just didn't draw me in like the previous Metros. There were also weird things like Artyom just standing there dead silent while people jabbered away at him. Somehow it worked alright in the previous Metros, but in this one just felt really odd. Still an OK game, but I'd recommend the other Metros over it. More detailed review here.

World War Z (9/10) - This was actually a really good co-op multiplayer game. At first I wasn't sure I liked it as there is a bit of a learning curve, but once I picked up the game mechanics it ended up being a lot of fun. The game is much more arcadey and hordey than Left 4 Dead or Back 4 Blood, being on the whole much faster paced, but at the same time having areas where you benefit from remaining quiet, and then there are distinct hold areas where you just fight off insane waves of zombies. It's a really interesting mix, and the variety of levels provided by not just sticking with one set of characters also helped to mix things up and keep it from getting stale. Definitely one of the better movie adaptations I've ever played. I'll go so far as to give the game a 9/10, and I feel like back in the day I could have played many more hours on it, progressively beating harder difficulties. But at this point in life I've got too many other games in my backlog to just grind away on a single MP.

I missed whatever little uptime the forums had last month. Mind adding me in again?

February
* Baldur's Gate 3. I'm not big on RPGs, but BG3 was enjoyable enough to see through. At a little over 100 hours, I suppose I rushed it a little, but got to see the ending.
* Unreal 2: The Awakening. I was so extremely hyped for this game back in 2003, and when it released as a pretty but wholly average shooter, I was extremely disappointed. I never even finished the game. It was time I set the record straight, so I finished it and it is indeed a very average shooter.

March
* Helldivers 2. From average Unreal 2 to awesome Helldivers 2. I had no intention of picking it up, but friends wanted me to join in. Turns out I'm absolutely loving everything about it.
* MotoGP 23. Another one to scratch off. Normally I'd finish a MotoGP game (take premier class world title) within a month or two. This one took almost a year, mostly because I was late with MotoGP22, and spent much of my racing time with Assetto Corsa Competizione instead. With MotoGP23 done, I think I'd like to go back to ACC for my racing fix.

Glad this place is up and running again, and glad you guys are all sticking with it!
