I notice something strange with all folder's attributes. The read-only box is not checked but shaded in. What does this state mean? The files read-only box inside the folders aren't shaded in or checked. Do you guys notice this too?

I haven't notice any problems or effect of this new shaded read-only state.
Is it new?

FWIW I've noticed the same thing on my Win7 install at home, as well as the 8.1 and Vista boxes I use at work. Every folder I've checked-- whether it was created automatically by Windows, a program setup, or me-- seems to be that way.

Have no idea what it means, but just wanted to mention that it's not unique to Win10 as far as I've seen.

Screenshot?
It's always like this. Even if you clear and apply it.

Thx! That's good to know. Funny how long it took me to notice it.:bleh:

Oh I thought he meant it was gradient/grey shaded in or something not solid. Yes that's normal.
