Wolf ET GL Extension problems.

Heres the deal. I currently switched to Win7x64 and whever I try to play WolfET with GL Extension enabled I get missing textures and graphics, Mirror shine weapons and 125FPS(very good). If I disable GL Extensions, the graphic errors go away but I drop down to an eye-bleeding 10 FPS.

Game ran flawless on my previous rig: Athlon X2 2GBddr2 HD4670 WinXP32

Current hardware: Phenom2 X4 965 BE 3.4, 4GB DDR3, HD4670.

I've updated to latest ATI Drivers. Anyone help?

The latest Catalyst (10.5) OpenGL driver is kinda borked. You can use a previously released driver or slap an older atioglxx.dll into the game directory. PM me if you want me to upload the 10.4 atioglxx.dll to my personal website and I'll provide you with a download link.

I'm glad the 10.4 atioglxx worked for you. The OpenGL fix is already in the beta drivers, but I'm not sure which release it will be included in. (10.6, 10.7, etc)

can you pm me too? i have the same problem

Yes, I will, but I'm also going to post a guide here on how to get the OpenGL version from a previous Catalyst release.

1. We need to get the display driver package you're looking for. Go here and select your the right OS version (I select individual components and video driver only). You'll notice a "previous version" in red above the download links, click it and get the version you need, 10.4 in this case.

http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx

2. Now that it's downloaded, run your new file and it'll extract to your C:\ATI\Support\(Cat Version)\Packages\Drivers\Display\(Win version)_INF\B_99645\ Cancel the install when Catalyst Install Manager loads.

3. Go to the above folder in explorer, find atioglxx.dl_ and copy that to C:\ATI for easy access for the next part.

4. Run CMD (Windows XP Start -> Run -> Type in 'cmd' sans quotes, hit enter.) (Vista/7 click Start -> Type in cmd and it will show up in the list above -> Right-Click on cmd and select Run As Administrator)

5. The command-line will probably open in your User folder, but we need to get to C:\ATI for that atioglxx.dl_ file. Once you're there, you need to uncompress it into atioglxx.dll. So type in these commands below

cd C:\ATI
expand atioglxx.dl_

6. Copy your newly created atioglxx.dll to you game's directory, (eg. C:\Program Files\Activision\WolfET) then run the game.

Let me know if any of the above commands don't work, as I'm doing this from memory & writing this guide from Linux. Thanks, and good luck!
