Omega drivers question

Since I don't want .NET on my already slow system I decided to try Omega's drivers. The version I'm using is:
v3.8.252

[*] Based on the Catalyst 6.5 Official drivers.

I'm not sure if I'm even allowed to post this to Rage3d, but I figured this would be the only place I could post it.

Anyway, the drivers work fine except there's one device that is not being properly detected. In device mangler, XP reports: device type: other device, manufacturer: unknown, location: RADEON X850 Series (Omega 3.8.252). I've tried searching for the best driver in all the various Omega install directories and
it didn't work. Any ideas anyone?

We all have Nvidia cards here and rage:bleh:

On a serious note, I used Omega drivers for along time on ati cards. Generally I liked them. You could try his site forum to figure that out.

I've got that too, but as annoying as it is, I can't seem to find anything that isn't working. So my solution is "don't look at device manager".
Handy eh?

Don't install .NET but install just the Catalyst drivers and use ATI Tray Tools as your control panel. If you had an x1xxx series card I'd understand needing .NET but since your on an x850 ATT is the way to go.

Been using Omega drivers since I got my 9800 Pro on my 2nd system never a problem.Works with Vivo x850xtpe and ATI USB 2.0 TV Wonder.

I wonder if it has something to do w/the VIVO capabilities of the X850 series?

I hate to reply to my own thread but I just want to give kudos to Omega's driver mix (and ATI Tray Tools) they're a great combination and, more importantly, have kept me from having to install any .NET crap on my gaming rig.

What it is, is the AVS_T200 Unified AVStream
Its looking for the AVS_T200 Unified AVStream Driver.
Download 6.7 cats extract dont install cancel it.
Go to the folder marked AVS_T200 which is in the WDM folder.
Point to that folder in device manager, windows will install and it wont display a yellow ? mark anymore.

Hope that helps.

I download the current core drivers and the WDM drivers and use ATI Tray Tools and all is well!!

You only need .NET for CCC so if you don't use CCC, .NET is unnecessary.
