I think the rep system was very flawed in that you rated the user and not the post or thread being discussed. Even the biggest douchebag can make a good post every now and then. Even Lupine makes the occasional crappy post.
I think it also slammed new users. A new user came come in and start making good posts from day one so why should they have poor rep?
The rep system does not need to come back.

The problem with new users gettin neg repped, is they would make retarded first posts, then more "senior" members with large swing would neg them. Suddenly they start in severely in the hole. Big deal. Thats what they got for making retarded first posts.

Beyond that. I agree. Leave rep dead. It was stupid.
