It's great indeed. I hope there are no drawbacks to it though :bleh:
 
It's looking like the GPU fan was the problem and these drivers lower the fan speed a bit. People are reporting higher core temps and there were a few peeps who "fixed" the problem by disconnecting their GPU fan. ;)
 
wait how can the gpu fan cause it to flicker??? the fan is completely seperate and has nothing to do with any actual display work!

Fans generate an EMF, which CAN affect displays. ;)

I've heard it might also be a few other things, so whatever. :)

Would the power system for the fan be seperate from the gpu? If nvidia did a sufficiently crappy job in design the faster fan would eat up more power from the core subsystem. I'm just guessing of course.

I noticed temps are up by about 3-4c, so I think you're correct there.
