The incident happened in heavy rain at around 3pm on Sunday on a 40mph section of the B375 near Chertsey. It is understood that the hand-crafted Veyron - which has a top speed in excess of 250mph - went out of control while doing about 100mph. The supercar collided with a Vauxhall Astra before crashing into trees on a roadside bank.Police said the Bugatti's male driver, who was with a younger male passenger, was reported by officers for driving without due care and attention.

That will buff right out... :bleh:

Where the hell is the nose to the car? Its just gone!... That will be one hell of a repair bill...

owww....

Makes me sad, but happy. At least someone was driving it, instead of it sitting in a garage somewhere, never to see the sun.

That said, what an asshat a 100mph, in the rain, in a public road....

EDIT, from wrecked exotics:

Car:
2006 Bugatti Veyron 16.4

Description:
This is the first Bugatti Veyron to be wrecked on the streets. It is the fastest and most expensive production vehichle in history, list price about $1.6 million.

The Veyron was doing around 100mph when it spun out of control, spinning 3 times before hitting a Vauxhall Astra with a 7-month pregnant woman inside. It then smashed into trees up a 3 foot embankment.

The Bugatti driver was with a younger male passenger. The car was taken away by the same truck driver who had delivered it to the owner just a week earlier. The owner is a businessman in his 40's who runs a rental car company with his brothers.

Location:
B375 near Chertsey, Surrey, United Kingdom

Rented it?

Who the F would buy one to rent it out? And how much would you rent it out to make it worth it?

And who would insure it?

Who wouldn't see this coming?

/rant

According to the site mentioned before :)

The airbags are probably the least expensive part of the car :bleh:

That being said, glad to see one smashed up, damn things are ugly as sin.

You say that like WRX's are that nice to look at (specially the new ones) :p

Besides, who cares what it looks like on the outside, it's the performance it delivers.

Outside their home yesterday a man claimed he had rented it to the driver for £20,000 a day and that it was bought for £925,000 — more than the list price. Nick Lancaster, Chief Executive of dealers HR Owen which sold the motor, said: “It is the first Veyron I have heard of being damaged. We cannot say yet whether it is written off or not.”

20k for a day!

My Apologies squid 20,000.00 GBP = 49,743.73 AUD
Where else can you See penguins parade, Pat a koala and go on the
Port Arthur ghost tour.
With its rich and evocative convict heritage, Australia is full of experiences.

And dont forget the Wollemia Pine.
Thought to have been extinct for 2 million years, Wollemia nobilis was discovered less than 160km from Sydney, in 1994. With less than 40 known adult specimens, it is said to be the world's rarest tree.

One place Id love to visit but costs just to much to go there.

That's not the first veyron crashed. The 1st was driven by the son of sultan brunei who was 15 at the time, went too fast, crashed it and got himself killed.
