Bought a Samsung 830

Got it for $99.99 +FS, and it should be here mid week. My current system doesn't have sata 3 so I won't realize the full effects of having a SSD. Still waiting a few more weeks as suggested to order a new system.

Nice SSD.

Some people would argue that random reads and writes are more important for SSDs than sequential reads/writes for OS usage. SATA 3 Gb/s should not bottleneck random reads/writes though. SATA 6 Gb/s would be faster for sequentials like you alluded to.
