Totally p*&-^ed with IE so....

Just wondering, now that there`s YET ANOTHER security loop in IE, what the compatability with websites is, and most importantly SECURITY is like , with Netcape Communicator?

I ask this because even though Im using AOL, I also have at least one IE window open also at the same time.

Does AOL use some kind of IE code in it? and if so could it use Communicator instead?, and if AOL uses a different technology than IE, how safe is AOL?

thanks JLP, Ill look into that, heard good things about it. Really sick of going on the net and not having decent security - IE is totally bugged to F%$#, but Its my favourite browser with Communicator coming close after. Good to have other options though!

I second JLP. I loved netscape from the days of "Netscape Gold" right up to version 6.0. Now I don't touch them at all - NS 6 was just plan bad bad bad. You'd be lucky to get into most websites, and forget online banking! However, NS 7 is out now which I've not tried yet.

I've not had a single problem with Mozilla yet. However, a very good alternative is Opera which has a very slick interface and more configurable options than you'd imagine.

Once you've got Mozilla, make sure you go to their plugins page to ease trouble with pdfs, flash, shockwave etc.

yes had Opera before it wasn`t too bad.

Just a shame that Ie is so full of security leaks.
