Why is there no auto update feature built in to CCC?

Seems silly for you not to read one of the many articles published about how this was introduced with Catalyst 11.4.

Steam has been able to check for updates for a more than 6months as well.

Although Steam does this, I have never tried updating this way. I use the AMD site.
Does Steam do a full upgrade of CCC, drivers, and etc.?

Mine doesn't, both STEAM and VECC Update have correctly identified when a new WHQL driver is available.

it's the exact same whql package to the byte, just look at the files
