![]() I noticed this as soon as i took out my ti4600 and put this one in. It's kinda like a noise that bad harddrives make. I disconnected all fans and everything else and yep...its definately the radeon...is this normal? Should I return my sapphire for an ATI model? |

![]() is it the cooling fan on the card? check and see if the fan blade is making contact with any part of the heatsink or fan guard.

![]() It is unlikely that the card can make any noise. If it is not a defective fan (try stopping it) then it could be your PSU. Maybe the 9700P requires more power than the 4600 and the PSU is struggling. Sapphire makes ATI's cards, except for the AIW. |

![]() I unplugged the power connector to the card and the sound is gone. It does seem to be coming from the power supply though. I have a 480W antec truepower so this seems kinda weird. |
