![]() FSR does a great job Mangler. It's just not the same category as reconstruction tech. You also won't see FSR go away, as it still has far wider compatibility and it's one of the best of it's type currently. At best, XeSS may replace DLSS in future games. As it's wider compatibility will be attractive.

![]() Yeah, I don't think FSR and even NIS are awful, over-all, but welcomed, especially for older or mid-range Gpu's. They don't really improve anti-aliasing or reconstruction but do a good job with titles with a good anti-aliasing component like GodFall and horrible with a poor Taa component in Horizon Zero Dawn.

![]() FSR is in the trash camp as long as developers does not let users have a sharpness slider. I've tried it out in two titles, FC6 and RE8, and I was not comfortable with the level of sharpness that the developer picked. |

![]() What about the turds flowing in the water. FC6 has turds in the water with FSR. No fixing that lol. |

![]() Sharpening is so subjective and agree with Mangler about the flexibility but still don't think FSR is trash and will improve with future iterations.

![]() The example I would like to test is with Death Stranding's particles considering XeSS is rumored to be in the Director's Cut. Dlss is so much better than Native+Taa in Death Stranding -- hopefully XeSS can deliver as well.

You do know Vega wasn't Raja's fault right. Vega was already planned out and in the pipe before Raja came onboard. NAVI is the brain child of Raja which has performed exeptionaly for AMD. Even the RX480 was done and couldn't be improved upon even though the 580 was released shortly after. Raja had to work with what AMD had before his vision could be realized, but AMD took what he had an ****ed him. I don't expect Intel's first gen to be all that impressive, probably inbetween a 3060 to 3070 in performance. I suspect it will take a maybe 3 generations before we see some real competition.

![]() Intel's first attempt at a Discrete GPU was back in 1998 with the i740, althought performance was **** it lived on within the iGPU up until the Xe. Intel attempted Larrabee in 2009, although it was canceled due to Nvidia pushing Intel out of the market at the time it lived on in the Xeon Phi. This time around will be different as there's stagnation within the GPU market, prices are at an all time high due to COVID, scalpers and downright greed on Nvidia and AMD's part. Mostly Nvidia greed though but still. I think it will be a welcome introduction, although performance might not be insane out the gate atleast it will help possibly lower prices and increase intrege in the market.

![]() I can see that happening in the low to midrange market.

![]() Mobile discrete is gaining momentum and can see Intel do very well early on here and slowly be competitive with Desktop.
