![]() Lowering your native resolution to 1080p to use DLSS at 1080p so you can use an RT effect... ![]() Probably going to look like ass. Sounds like an unlikely thing. You can't even buy 1080p monitors. Ask Badyskes. |

Also you might want to YT just how surprisingly good DLSS can look up-scaling from some pretty crazy low render resolutions. It would definitely net you the ability to use your card longer.

![]() That article is mostly based on the original WCC article you posted. Only TechRadar got comment on the WCC article from nVidia and SystemShock Developer "Nightdive Studios". It just reinforces what was already known and mentioned in the WCC article. That being that if your engine has the DLSS plug-in support already built in, you won't encounter the same level of problems Midgar did because it is already done for you.

![]() It's also kind of an awkward sentence in that it's not clear what is undeniable since the "impact" is not specified in any way (i.e. "positive impact", etc.). So, it basically reads like it's undeniable(!) that DLSS will have some undefined impact(?) on a player's experience. |

Sup man Long time no see! ![]() Why a 3060Ti? ![]() DLSS works well in NMS and Cyberpunk only on quality settings. I have not tried Metro Exodus:EE yet but I might get to that sometime. FSR is a cool tech and can be used A LOT more then DLSS in the future, but it all comes down to how good it can be implemented. If consoles start using it then it will be in most all new games.

![]() Not exactly sure where to post this but I guess because it's about ray tracing this will do. I thought that since Doom Eternal is using Vulkan and console optimised ray tracing, that 6900XT would do much better, but in fact it gets absolutely crushed in RT benchmarks: ![]() That is horrendous for such an expensive piece of hardware.

![]() To be fair, it's still playable at 4K at those settings, and it's essentially equal to a 2080 Ti and only behind the 3070 by an indistinguishable margin. AMD is still clearly behind on ray tracing performance, but their implementation is at least functional. |

![]() Just quoting you as many here have said that the 2080Ti could not do RT at acceptable levels.

![]() Steve! Thought you died. Crazy you still post here ![]() The patch was virtually made by Nvidia for Nvidia with day 1 Nvidia drivers. ![]() Not sure what card you have, but they are all horrendous performers for how much they cost. |

![]() TBH I just play games and I'm lucky I don't see jaggies or artifacts so I play at my native resolution of 3440x1440 with no DLSS and Ray Tracing if enabled. Not bragging just saying it how it is.

![]() I am still alive ![]() I mostly lurk and and post randomly. Working on computers/networks/printers/VoIP all day sometimes I have to NOT look or think about technology! ![]() Anyone try Red Dead 2 DLSS 2.2? Only reason I did not buy it yet for PC, loved it on my PS4 Pro, sick ass game! I know it runs like Sh*t on PCs, but was hoping quality settings will make it look good and playable.

By that token RT was usable on the 2080 Ti, and likewise on 3070/6900XT. Yet, at the same time, ideally performance would be a fair bit higher on that class of card. |

![]() Quite happy with the Samsung G9 at 240Hz, difference 120-240 is absolutely there. However.... if any of you have an OLED and some BFI support, that too goes a long way ![]()

![]() I remember reading somewhere that one of the promised 3x00 series cards feature was an option to enable DLSS in NVCP with games that use TAA rather than the developer adding the option in the game. Was I smoking too much crack or was there something like this in the pipeline?

![]() That was the idea, never managed to pull it off sadly. Could still happen though.

![]() AC? At almost 29'C inside the temp alarm went off 10min after FS2020 ![]() And hey, you can still do 4K 120Hz RGB on 20-series cards with DP-HDMI 2.1 dongle from say Club 3D. Doing it myself. No GSYNC though.
