![]() Thx for bump. Don't mind if I do. This month is a barrel of dead monkeys! Every month it seems that it can't get any worse but somehow it manages to. They really need to drop this model and go back to the 3 - 5 good bundles/year. PGA Tour 2K21 - How is this not an EA license anymore? Looks like a decent golf game. Needs more clouds. Neon Abyss - A 2D multi-genre shooter/puzzle game that could be okay if I were 14 and had no other games to play. Not For Broadcast - Practice being a live TV producer in this FMV-"based" simulator. Title of the game puts me to sleep but digging into it, if it's made well it could be pretty good. ROKI - The 3D world of Kholat have you overshelmed? Try out Roki, a walking simulator in the snow, but in 2D! Narita Boy - Back when my mom had extra money she would open up a phone book and order a "Narita Boy". Later, that evening some 16 year old dude from the city would go with her into her bedroom, close the door, and do tricks for her while she clapped rhythmically and cheered. I've always wondered what that guy did and if I were still subscribed to Humble Choice, I'm sure I could find out from this game. West of Dead - Isometric top-down adventure/puzzle game with up to 8 simultaneous colors on the screen! Atomicrops - 2D poor looking strategy action game that would look low-res on a 1st generation Apple Watch. Heaven's Vault - Looks like a painstaking "choices matter" choose your own adventure book but with visuals to accompany the story on your computer screen. Probably isn't bad. Swag and Sorcery - The name of this game just invites me to dump everything in my bank account into it. There may not actually be any in-game purchases but I don't want to read anymore about it to find out for sure. Fort Triumph - Trailer for the game advertises in its title "Console Release". GJ guys. Looks to be a strategy game with turn-based battles with Torchlight 1 graphics. Orwell: Ignorance is Strength - Social media simulator where you simulate living in your parents basement searching for clues to who is behind it all in a simulated internet, but lacks the ability to string together a YouTube video with background music that drowns out people talking. FRAMED Collection - Comix Zone Remake! Not really but the closest I've seen to that. More adventure than action. |

![]() every month I am happy that I didn't subscribe for a year for that $13 per month deal. So far I only get 1 subscription monthly bundle per year, the other 11 months were not good or not useful. I get much better games free from Epic and Amazon Prime Gaming every month.

![]() Wow I... I genuinely am surprised at how much worse it's getting every month. At least last month had a nice golf game, but this month? Let's do this. Katana Zero - A 16-bit era 2D platform action game that doesn't take up the whole screen and might involve sharp objects. If you like this sort of thing, you can support the dev and Valve directly for $15. Amnesia: Rebirth - No game with Rebirth in its title was ever good. This cash grab from the Amnesia series looks like it was given to a different dev tasked with making it. As the 2nd most expensive game in this bundle, you can get it for $30. John Wick Hex - Ever wanted to see John Wick with A Scanner Darkly style? Well now you can in this top down and/or Alone In The Dark camera angled "strategy game". 112 Operator - Capitalizing on the enormous success that took the world by storm with 911 Operator, Jutsu Games is at it again with 112 Operator. It claims you can manage emergency services from any city in the world. I'm skeptical. Guts and Glory - A racing platforming game with an extreme gore gimmick. I would have liked it years ago, but today is part of a larger, growing mass of typical short attention span trash. Ring of Pain - No, this isn't about the NuvaRing. It's a card-based strategy game that seems made for a mobile phone with its basic graphics/UI that take up the whole screen. Garage: Bad Trip - Good title art. A top down stick shooter that might not be horrible, but also might be horrible. The Textorcist: The Story of Ray Bibbia - I have this on Epic Games; got it free. I love typing games. This one is awful because it mixes typing with character movement; WASD moves your character but also types WASD, so you use Shift+WASD to move, and you can move and type at the same time, unless you need to use W, A, S, or D. I gave up after twenty minutes. Might be doable if you throw a gamepad on the floor and move your character around with your feet. Tools Up - Probably the worst name for a game I've seen in a while. It's a top down cooperative renovation game, advertised as best enjoyed from a couch. I'd rather enjoy something else on my couch. Like a plate of delicious spaghetti. Hiveswap Friendsim - Okay this just stole the worst game name award from Tools Up. WTF. A text based something with graphics circa Carmen Sandiego 1988. Apple II version. Black Future '88 - The 88 reference above has no relation to this game. A 2D platformer/shooter that looks like a mix of Flashback and Robocop -vs- Terminator. Roguelike elements giving it a lack of level design probably makes it excruciating to play. Syberia 3 - If you played and enjoyed the first two Syberias (which you could have gotten free on GOG a while back), now's your chance to get the 3rd on the cheap. Oh wait, it's on sale for $4.49 through October 11th . If that's not enough to wet your orifice, 51% of Steam user reviews don't recommend it! |

![]() Due Process - Neat art and environments ruined by the fact that it's already cheap, as well as an online only FPS in early access and nobody is playing. House Flipper - Um... a unique game where you flip houses. I feel like if this were the type of game you'd like, you'd have already bought it. Its overwhelmingly positive review average will no doubt be brought down by Humbledowners ("OMG this game is so boring.") Project Wingman - A jet fighter game that looks pretty sweet. I've had my eye on it for a while. Probably the best game of the bundle, but can't confirm personally because I haven't played it or any of the others. SP only, but this doesn't bother me. Wingspan - A relaxing strategy game about birds. Looks like Mahjong mixed with Solitaire, but with birds on the cards. BPM: Bullets Per Minute - Following the trend of Project IGI: I'm Going In, BPM is a redundantly titled FPS. It boasts lots of killing in orange-brown environments and a soundtrack that may be good. Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion - Could easily be on Game Boy Color, a top down adventure game that focuses on puzzles. SimpleRockets 2 - A space launching game for people who thought Kerbal was too complicated? Timelie - An isometric OG Wolfenstein game with updated graphics and a time control gimmick. Wrath: Aeon of Ruin - Retro FPS that features more colors than BPM, but lower grade textures. Mobius Point '83 - A Panzer General game that features flow charts and Solitaire. Actually looks well made. I guess that's it. There's usually 12 isn't there? Doesn't matter. I chalk this sad bundle up as the best bundle of the year. Things are lookin' up, bois! |

![]() Steam's latest patching scheme is optimizing downloads but tearing up HDD clicks and blips with compression. A 155 MB patch for Ghostrunner is taking 20 minutes to install. So I'll do my thing whilst I wait. Maneater - It's probably not what you think. Instead it's about playing a shark. Advertises as an RPG. When I saw it months ago I thought it was MP only but it turns out that it's SP only. I can't tell if it's 3rd person, first person, or 2.5D side scroller. Maybe I'll watch a gameplay video and buy it on sale for $19.99 (through Dec 13). Mordhau - This one is MP only. Sword swingy, horse ridey, medieval PvP game. Requires players to be online and playing for enjoyment. According to Steam, there are 1,826 right now. Endzone: A World Apart - Post apocalyptic city builder. Doesn't look bad. Beyond the Wire - They lost me at MMO. Looks WW1 based. Is it BF1? Is it Red Orchestra? Is it filling Red Orchestra's shoes using BF1's WW1 setting? (probably) Still Early Access Partisans 1941 - Company of Heroes done by Russia. The Survivalists - There are just too many games. I feel like I've seen a hundred different versions of this. Could easily run on a Nintendo DS. Top down crafting/building who cares. Lacuna - Poor looking 2D pixel graphics adventure game. Marketing title graphic looks good. 8Doors: Arum's Afterlife Adventure - I'm not sure what the appeal of this game would be. Features browngray, white, and red colors in a very 2D action platform. Greak: Memories of Azur - A 2D platformer puzzle game with more colors than the above. Fling to the Finish - A co-op racing game that has zero people playing it right now. Looks extremely frustrating to play. Tohu - Point and click 2D puzzle game that features interesting looking art. Voidigo - This game looks absolutely terrible but it has 99% positive rating overall, with 100% positive rating for recent reviews. Top down rogelike shooter. Still early access. Overall, not their worst. |

![]() Maneater is great fun, platted it on PS4 when it first came out. Basically, you swim around as a shark eating things to get bigger/upgrades. It's a 3rd person tale of revenge. Chris Parnell narrates. Would recommend.

![]() Mafia: Definitive Edition - Get in this bundle the game that you already own, a 2nd time! Iron Harvest - Tired of the Steampunk aesthetic? Well now you get Dieselpunk (boy did Wolfenstein miss out on this term) in an RTS. At present has 551 concurrent players so has a surprisingly active base. Could all be Humblebois though. Project Winter - A 3 dimensional Among Us with survival influences that was once semi-popular, but now has less than 1k players. Could all be Humblebois. Rebel Cops - A self described "unforgiving" top down, isometric turn based squad game where you click click click your way to death against the bad guys. But you're rebel cops. But you're not the bad guys. Rustler - Self described as Grand Theft Horse, for fans of the original couple of GTA games, of which there seem to be few today. Because they're annoying. Cop horses have red/blue lights when they chase you down and according to positive reviews this is one of the best things about it. The Henry Stickmin Collection - Probably the best game of the bunch, a poorly drawn 2D side scrolling choose your own adventure game. Promises funny character failures. Farmer's Dynasty - A poor man's Farming Simulator 2021 with Sims influences. Between the Stars - Space based Strategy/RPG that actually doesn't look bad. Early Access. Demo available. Retrowave - Looks to be a semi-relaxing speeding straight-line traffic weaving simulator based in a 3D Outrun universe, without the cops. Overwhelmingly Positive review ratings. Early Access. $2 if you're not a Humble Choice subscriber. Midnight Protocol - A decent looking Hacking/Mystery solving simulator that apparently did not get much fanfare at release. Could be one of those hidden gems if you're into this sort of game. |

![]() while i really enjoy your minimalistic reviews, Crawdaddy, i have to say that Iron Harvest is a great game and Rustler, well, it is fun at least for a while. Of course it is repetitive (as most GTA-Clones are). Midnight Protocol is also a great game, but very minimalistic, obviously not something for the usual gamer, but might be cool for people who are into that kind of subgenre. The Henry Stickmin Collection is more of an interactiv cartoon than a game, but i'm sure it has a lot of fans out there.

![]() I believe I have only 1 month left and I already removed my credit card so they can't surprise charge me for another year. It started out good for me and then went downhill very fast where I just kept pausing the month over and over.

![]() I liked the ability to play games that I otherwise wouldn't look at twice, and found some that I really enjoyed. After a year my backlog was at 80 games or something. After a 2nd year, 180. June, 2021 was my last month with the thing. No regerts. Or ragrets. Or however you want to misspell it. |

![]() Behold, the change brought to Humble Choice, that will bring you fewer games, but they will be of higher quality. ![]() Borderlands 3 - Less than three years after the hit sequel hit our digital storefronts, you can now collect it in your Humble Choice bundle! Borderlands 3: Director's Cut - Back in the day, any DLC or add ons to your Choice games would be a "sub selection" within the claimed game. Now they're counting it as an additional item to make the bundle look bigger! They probably should have started with doing it this way. Black Book - Two dimensional adventure-looking side scroller but maybe not because there's cards. Interesting visual style. Per Aspera - It's not a misspelling of anti-persperant, it's a "let's clean up Mars and terraform it" strategy game where you are a bot with the task. Just Die Already - From the creators of Goat Simulator, I guess they didn't want to name this Elderly Simulator. Chaotic sandbox/playground game. Looks to be in the same vein as Goat Sim but with actual endgame goals. Before We Leave - A building simulator where you build civilizations on a basketball and then spread your civilization onto a new basketball. Paradise Lost - A walking sim/chase simulator/adventure game set in a Nazi bunker. Everhood - Pixel graphic dodging/jumping game. Maybe like Tempest but on a single plane and no shooting. Calico - As thumbnails, the flesh-like colors used for the environments in this game made me think it was some other kind of game, but instead it's a coax hungry mammals into a cafe game. If you have a 7 - 9 year old daughter, she might really like it. |
