Could be interesting. The titans were pretty cool, but the ground-based combat of Titanfall was as enjoyable (if not more enjoyable). All the cool acrobatics could make this one pretty fun... just don't know how EA will make a F2P game that isn't Pay2Win or otherwise unbearable to most players.

So yeah what i said confirmed, just another generic BR and each character has some special powers. No wall running, no going mega fast, no titans, woopty ****ing doo. The whole presentation was about skins too, it's literally trying to be a first person fortnite but it's way too late to the BR game.

I'm surprised that double-jump and wall-runs aren't in this. I loaded it up and just played the tutorial before I head out... I'm not a huge BR person but I did enjoy a few rounds of Blackout. This could be a Blackout killer as it seems to be basically the same, plus a few QOL improvements and F2P. Won't hurt the PUBG or Fortnite crowd as they are in it for a different playstyle.

There's a lot of gamers streaming it on twitch if you want to see how it looks/plays without having to download it yourself. Looks like CoD4:Blackout but with elements of the Titanfall art style and some enhanced movement capabilities (for example you can run up walls but only a short distance).

Looks mundane and generic as hell, which sucks because they could've done something extraordinary with mechs, wall-running, etc.

I guess they just wanted to cash in on the fad as safely as possible, rather than try and take the genre to a new level.

They won't be seeing any playtime from me, that's for sure.

all the big fps streamers are playing it so it will gain some traction. has a quake-ish look or feel to it just from watching someone play it. meh not a fan of battle royale anyway.

Good old influencers, paid and sponsored hyping of a game. Good documentary on Netflix about Fyre that used similar method, worth a watch.

BFV is really late, since it was one the game features that was advertised and NOT available when the game was released. I will have to go check out the game play of this version of BR.

one thing I'll give BFV is that despite being late, it will no doubt have the smoothest running BR. I wonder if it will be available to buy as a standalone.

Lol. I started the thread and I've watched hours of streams, but I can't bring myself to play with strangers in a squad because I know I suck so bad Wish there was a solo mode.

don't worry man. from the streams i've seen, so many times the streamer has like 10-15 kills by the end and the noname random team mate has 0 or 1. the only way to get better is to play.

Alright so, beyond the disappointment of not having the movement of Titanfall... this game isn't half bad.

The only thing that gets me anxious/annoyed is having to play in a squad. I prefer solo play.

Thanks man. Took your advice. Was mostly no talking, but I got 1 kill, revived a guy twice, respawned a guy once, and was carried to a win with a dude who had 56 kills. lol

I guess I'll try again. It was actually pretty fun.
