SS3 was okay but I don't quite know how you'd make it much better without changing the basic gameplay. Maybe more types of enemies, big boss battles, and some faster movement options. Or they could go for more environmental destruction / interaction.

Going in heavy on environmental destruction could be bad ass. As could potentially adding vehicle based or mech battles/fights.

I don't know. I mean SS is not exactly treading new ground. It's charm is in relishing the simple tropes of FPS while doing it at a larger, or stupid, scale. There are plenty of those it could wade into and rock at in the Serious Sam style.

SS Multiplayer Co-Op (Any Version except SS2) on Serious difficulty with Extra Enemies Per Player + Extra Enemy Strength and Extra Enemy Strength Per Player cranked up is anything but boring. Loads of fun fighting hoards of super-tough enemies and multiple types at the same time. Complete chaos at times.

I love Serious Sam. Can't wait for Planet Badass.

It just looks more of the same. Hopefully the varied environments will make it worthwhile instead of the constantly repetitive levels and gameplay of Serious Sam 3.

not much different. I preferred 3 because of the Egypt setting. This one takes place in talos principle ruins and italian streets. 4 does have some optional side areas though.
