Texture work in AC4 seems pretty lazy. Seems like they started with low res assets and just upscaled them and slapped some random noise and sharpen filter on them. It's very well visible in that black guys face, lot's of random noise and not much of real detail. Look's like some of the "high res" texture mods from Oblivion that just added tons of noise on stock textures.

Skin textures seemed fine for me, but everything else the characters are wearing, meh. Like in the first picture, stock on the gun & his outfit..
