![]() Apparently Fargo is making the sequel to Wasteland, the game that inspired the Fallout games: Quote:

![]() whoa...if this comes true then this is indeed big news! Wasteland was revolutionary. I remember spending hours on that game doing absolutely nothing but making myself ultra powerful. Awsome news!

![]() I've actually never played Wasteland. Can someone tell me what it was like? Was it a free-roaming, free-play Fallout? Was it Zork, or Ultima? |

![]() I've never played it either but if it inspired Fallout it must have been hell of a game. I look forward to this it should make up for the sucking Fallout 3 will do. |

![]() I remember trying it out briefly and it was pretty interesting from what I played. I think it was kind of a grid based movement with random encounters with party member and you selected attacks and stuff. And there were npcs that you could buy stuff from, etc. I'm sure theres more since I literally played for 5 minutes or so. Considering the copyright was bought by the guy who originally made the series, it sounds like it'll be a good thing.

![]() It was like most of the RPGs of the 80's. Very similar to Might and Magic...as it was first-person with slide-slow graphics and shoot/block combat system and a use on item system. It can be downloaded from abandonware sites with a little googling. |

![]() That DOS game is even more buggy in windows than it ever was on my commie 64 cant play more than a minute without a crash. Whom ever does go out of their way to try the game out for themselve you need the story booklet that came with wasteland the dialog for the game is in that booklet.
