Which one?

I’m not fond of the 3090. I’m still on the ASUS TUF, leaning towards the 3080Ti version.

Thoughts?

I don't know about lowering prices, since demand is so high and supply has been so poor, but maybe you'll be able to get a better card..

3080 if it's at retail. Ti if it's within 100-150 bucks more.

I put a 3090 FTW in my rig last week, and didn't even notice a difference. Buddy bought it, and it wasn't working in his rig. He brought it over to test, and it turned out one of his extension cables was a six pin.

The 3080 is (was) the sweet spot IMO.

The 3080 is slightly better value (lol) but I'd go with the Ti if you don't plan to upgrade for a while. It gives you peace of mind knowing you went with the faster option in the first place and saves us from remorse threads.

I'd also suggest upping the resolution for it. 1440p doesn't allow it to shine and gains don't look as big.

Depends on the game engine, resolution used and OC headroom for each card. I've seen up to 25% improvement in some titles.

Can’t see the video but from memory the higher perf differences come from higher resolutions which is where these cards excel at.

For what it's worth, all those tests included at least 4K results. If there were extras, that was on top of 4K data.

3080 Ti performed almost exactly same as a 3090 in the few games I tested before I sold it off.
