When I push the "I Agree" button I get the following "The page cannot be displayed" (HTTP 501)

First time I tried I couldn't get the WinME drivers to come up,
but got 9062 for Win98SE. Second time I got WinME and also
got 9062. These are the same drivers that have been up for
a while.

Looks like they are just changing the way the upgrade works.
It may even install automatically directly from the web page
instead of having to download then install.

From what i tought, we should should see a official driver with a higher number than 6193 later on...dunno when.

No, no it is not I'm afraid to say. There's an minimum IQ needed to be able to use these drivers and there is a rigorous testing procedure in place to keep out those who are unworthy.

If'n you still feel the need to try them you can take the test to try and get them. All you need do is go to this page and find the hidden links to the 6193 drivers. I'll even help you out a bit...concentrate on the upper-right hand area.

If you can't find them from that, you really shouldn't be using them.

yeah I'm sorry, I didn't realize we already have that driver.. so I was thinking it's one of the internal ATI releases that is not public yet..

The drivers are avaiable from Rage3d's frontpage.
Look in new drivers from the frontpage news:

These aren't official ATI drivers from ATI more like beta drivers from them. They are not WHQL certified and aren't a unified package. The drivers were released to fix some more urgent bugs NOLF2 in the case of the 8500 series and NHL 2003 in the 9700 line. Plus they'll be other small bug fixes and optimizations. Force v-sync on isn't an option yet but hopefully in the next official catalyt release it'll be there.

RADEON 9700 DRIVERS
Windows XP and 2000 Driver

These are Beta drivers which are supposed to fix a NHL2003 issue and a few more bugs, and i had no problems with them so far...even yesterday i had BF1942 running for at least 4/5 hours online, with no probs, no crashes, and also played Mafia for a long time without any problems or strange issues...drivers are indeed getting better, and unlike others i do recommend these drivers, they seem stable and work great overall.
( I don't have NHL2003, so i'm not aware of what problems this game had)

For me at least, they make the NFS6: HP2 demo playable, rather than a lockup just before the grid in rendered (if using the 6178s)...

You know, being born in germany you might miss some sarcasm and take it for real.
On the other hand I missed a lot of real flaming thinking it was sarcasm

As for the drivers.. I'm again sorry for mixing things up. and thx for telling me
I'm even using the 6193 since they've been released.. I just looked for the beta drivers on my harddisk and only found the 6178, so I was sure the 6193 are internal ATI releases.. my fault.

so let's forget about this and hope for some new drivers..
