hopefully bitcoin price will drop to -1000 by release of both AMD and NV that they can have a more normal releases with good stock that even Asus has to sell at close to MSRP

So wccftech is saying the 4090 will be $1500 again and the TI variant will be $2000 once again. Of course MSRP doesn't matter anymore and they will probably be 2.5K or higher the moment they hit the market. I expect them to sell out again before the web page even loads for most of us.

They also pointed out that being able to double the speed of last gen is purely based on math and is a data throughput not the actual improvement you will see in games. Which is a good point. Some games that are heavy on ray tracing could see double on a 4090TI but it's not something people should expect to see in game and you get even less if you drop down to 4090 or 4080. The 4090TI may be capable of 100TFLOPS but it might only translate into 20FPS in some titles like RDR2. Still, even if it's just a rumor at this point, it actually looks possible and if it's true, that would be a very nice improvement this gen. One of the largest leaps we have seen.

It's starting to look like AMD and Intel are both going to launch new CPU's in October and Nvidia will probably try to capitalize on that month as well. AMD will launch it's GPU's 6 months later which will probably give them the ability to better compete with Nvidia's cards in terms of ray tracing and raw rasterization performance. I think FSR will continue to trail behind DLSS in terms of image quality but offer similar performance gains with decent visuals. Intel doesn't look like they are going to be a competitive force in the GPU high end this cycle. Maybe if they launch a high end card at the end of this coming GPU cycle about 1.5 years from now.

i don't think anyone really knows it's all fud .

and AMD maybe behind some of the fud
they do have a track record of leaking misinformation on GPU's especially when they think they will release at the same time as NV give or take a week or 3

hopefully the 7900 xt is a 4870 and not a 2900

but if at all posable they both want it in September or October to get stock up to par by Christmas

Im questioning if I want to spend another K on a video card. Im just not playing that many games at the moment. I play mostly Pinball FX and the really power hungry Diablo Immortal this last weekend.

Acually with ray tracing on Pinball FX at 4K isnt always smooth. Could be just because its early access though.

Only game game coming out I'm really interested in is Callisto Protocol and the 3080Ti should do fine on it so I'm also on the fence, maybe wait to '23 for Ti edition?
