![]() I have my HTPC setup as follows: 37" Panasonic EDTV Plasma (PANASONIC TH-37PWD7UY ) LG LST 3510-A HDTV Tuner/DVD Player Logitech Z-5500 5.1 Surround Speakers (Hooked up via optical to EDTV and analog setup with computer) PC: Specs in sig. I game on occasion on the plasma and it's awesome but not enough games are widescreen friendly. I found some tweaks online but not for all the games I love playing (like most of the PC Sports games). So more often than not, I game with my 17" Samsung LCD. The Logitech Speakers are awesome IMO. They really add that theatre experience for me at a fraction of the cost of other HT speakers. Sorry about not having pics, I'll try to get some when I get home (at work right now). |

![]() I'm getting a new 32" Sony WEGA TV and a Sony DVD 5.1 Home Theater in a box on Monday, I'm so excited to have surround sound on something other than my computer. I'm sure it will not sound as good as my computer, but I could be wrong. Maybe someone can answer this question because I never asked, the tv does 480i with the DVD Player if I plug it in with the 3 different coloured plugs, component or composite I think it's called, is that considered High Definition? I'll post a pic if I even get my digital camera back ![]() |

![]() The 3 color one is called "component". And No, it just means you will have a nicer connection for the video ![]() Can't wait to see some picture of it though ![]()

![]() Ok, I got my HT setup yesterday, and wouldn't you know it, the remote for the amplifier was missing, but the remote for the tv controlled the basic functions of the amp so I did get to set it up and play with it for a bit before getting the remote for the amp, I don't know how it's possible for there not to be one. Anyhow, the tv is so much bigger in my living room than it looked in the store and the picture in 16:9 Enchanced Mode is so nice. Not HDTV but still awesome, best I've ever had so far ![]() The speakers are weak looking and the sub feels cheap but after hooking it all up and playing around with it I'm actually quite impressed with the sound. I'm not sure what number the volume goes up to but at 30 it's pretty loud and very clear, lots of bass as well. I'm gonna do a sound comparison later on today between my computer and my HT setup, they are in the same room so it will be easy to judge. The only gripe I have is that the remote control for the amp has so many buttons and the layout is not very well thought out and when watching a movie at night it's hard to find some of the buttons because they are pretty much the same size and shape. I have to pics, if I find my webcam I can take a couple shots of it, oh ya my poor birds have never been so scared before, watching Gothica freaked them out so I had to remove them from the living room until the end of the movie, and of course they had to sit on my shoulder all scared lol. |

![]() Never posted an update when I got a pair of bigger speakers and a new DVD player (fairly recently). See first page for my previous pic and list. The front two JBL N24II's are now a pair of JBL E30's. My Panasonic S35S DVD player is now replaced by the Panasonic S77 (DCDi ![]() ![]() ![]()

Check out it's specs, what a center channel: RSC500 QUAD 5.25" mid-bass couplers... 1 X 4" midrange... 1 X Vifa XT Ring Radiator Tweeter 2 X 8" (very custom) woofers (isobarik loaded, down firing on a "shaped platform base")... with a 350 watt beast driving them... One VERY interesting XO for the system above 80Hz... Roughly... $1195... with trades allowed... Not going to see the light of day until 2006.
