If any of you snagged last month's games, Shadow Tactics is awesome!

Downloaded both Tokyo 42 and Steamworld Dig 2 and have been enjoying them. They hook into Steam as Non-Steam games with no issue (doesn't seem to be any requirement to run the Twitch app after install) but I do lament not getting achievements or Steam cards (yeah I'm one of those :p ).

Overall more value for my Prime membership.

Steamworld Dig 2 is a nice platformer, but i already have a feeling it's one of those games that really require a controller to actually enjoy em.

Tokyo is a neat lil game, but i already hate to have to adjust the camera every 2 seconds.

How do you not have a controller? Even a simple SNES type thing would be enough for this game!!

I just (finally) finished Psychonauts. This is such a great game and still holds up very well (including 1080p res).

yeah, for a 13 years old game that's impressive to say at least :heart:

It's cause writing is ageless (mostly), as opposed to games built around their graphics.

We just didn't notice it so much since we didn't get to play that many games that did have good writing?

actually, no. I don't think so. But that's another story.

It wasnt rare, it was about the same amount as it is now, its just that the other half f games were average, or focused on crap like graphics, and THOSE games have increase exponentially.

Well, I'd say that's still kind of rare. A lot of reasonable or passable writing and a lot of sub par writing. But really good writing is not that common. Oh, frequently some sharp dialogue but overall video games still rate pretty low on the scale.

Of course, a lot of the games I play ( strategy and sim ) don't really come into the equation, but for a few really good ones, like Witcher 3, I'd think of DE:HR which was Saturday morning cartoon writing or the bare bones functionality of Dragon Age Inquisition or Fallout 4.

are these really free games, or just trial periods?

"I, hope" keeps constantly crashing under Win7, just a warning for fellow ragers who are still on Win7 :mad: At least the version which is at twitch, steam version _seems_ to be patched and running, strange.....
