If you ignore the lie-filled and meme-filled default subreddits, there is a lot of useful and interesting info. /r/asmr is really fascinating.

Well I was going to try the Digg.com that launched today, that has a much cleaner interface, BUT they require a Facebook login...WTF??? Facebook is taking over all login's these days?!?!

It looks like a news aggregate site anyway, which I get using Zite on my iDevices.

Fwiw, reddit isn't just aggregation. If anything, I think that's a pretty small part of it.

there's...parts of reddit that are quite useful, for specific information at a specific time.

Like, I've been frequenting /r/SteamDeck to keep up with news on it, as I'm looking forward to it.

Certain TV shows you can get good info on. The occasional laugh from /r/Uplifting or some of those are good too.

But then you hit major echo chamber sections like /r/politics and /r/news, etc. etc.

It's a "Use wisely, often with google to get what you want" site.

I love Reddit.
