What's up with them all coming out at the same time so we can't buy them all?

I mean, we've got (supposidly) HL2, X2 the threat, Halo, Worms 3d, Tron 2.0, Jedi Academy, Homeworld 2, Call to Arms, Secret Weapons of WWII, all coming out in the next couple of months. What great games have come out this summer??? All I can think of is Frozen Throne. Not very many, so why do they all come out at the same time? I can't afford to buy them all! Then they wonder why piracy is so widespread.....

Worms 3D?!?

Damn... I used to play Worms: Armageddon and Worms World Party every single day back when I had 56K.

Good fun those games are.
 
I dunno about Jedi Academy. It's basically the same as JK2 with mods :P Let's just hope they don't make the mistake of having backstab be as powerful as it was in JK2 in multiplayer up until the 1.03 patch.

Nothing new or exciting there. HL2 will be good for eye candy but they won't recapture the gameplay of HL. The more over-hyped games are the more they have a tendency to suck. We can only see. X2= movie game which always means suck. The rest are meh at best or over used franchises/genres (like we need more WW2 games or SW crap games) looking to milk the cash cow.

There are some good games coming up but we still have yet to see which ones are hype and which are for real. Don't get your knickers in a twist yet, we have yet to see the gameplay of most of these games (maybe there's a reason for this?)

I'm waiting personally for S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Half Life ², Jedi Academy and Worms 3D. I'm gonna suck evry single bit out of those games.
 
I forgot all about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. It should be pretty good.

X2-The Threat is a space sim, not a movie based game. It looks like it's gunna whoop on Freelancer.
 
Okay so basically you mean nothing is coming. But HL2 will be worth a look.

Commandos 3 for ppl like me who just want another Commandos 2 that you beat with 1 commando.

There's also nhl2004 I think for those that care.

Just goes to show most of you guys are total newbs. You named a bunch of games your l33t h4xx0r friends are looking forward to (HL2) and don't even name Deus Ex 2?

Awesome stuff coming for us all.. and yeah summer sucked.. i only played moto gp 2, frozen throne, elite force 2, NWN:SoU, 4 games for a whole friggin summer.. wtf?
