Windows 10 and Radeon 6550+Intel switchable graphics compatibility?

I have an Acer 4820TG running Windows 7. It has a switchable graphics configuration with a Radeon HD 6550 and Core i5 480M.

In the past, I have found that the drivers direct from AMD don't mesh with the switchable graphics configuration. I believe I have to use the drivers supplied by Acer, and Acer only supplies Windows 7 drivers.

So, does this basically mean I can't upgrade the laptop to Windows 10 without loosing the switchable graphics?

I believe I used to run the AMD direct drivers on my 3820TG, though I may have installed the ACER Intel driver.

Can't you use windows 7 drivers with windows 10? I read a post recently of someone with an x1950 pro running in Windows 10.
