Star Wars - Rogue One

maybe not great acting or dialogue, but the originals had passable acting and dialogue. the same can't be said about the prequels.

The originals had/has a sort of charisma.

Plus I saw all 3 in the theater when they dropped biotch.

So, bringing this thread back on topic (fun-killer jk as usual), I actually liked this film. A definite step up from the force awakens. Better paced, more interesting planets, better comic relief, better cinematography....

TL:DR, Force awakens felt, forced, a necessary opening act that really took the store in a crappy direction. This film did not feel forced all.

I too watch it today, the first half hour or so doesn't feel Star Wars-ey, and rushed because of the film's length. The text showing which planet and who conquers feels...off for Star Wars film. Jumping from one character to another doesn't help either.

K-2SO is my fav character, following by the blind samurai pseudo-Jedi. I don't mind cheesy dialogue, all of them carry their character well. I don't like CGI Tarkin, one look and you know this is videogame CGI stuff.

The space battle caught me off guard, it is simply awesome. The Hammerhead corvette really look like the one from KoTOR. Hope there is more space battles in Episode VIII.

Death by grenade is so cheesy, nearly half of them died because of nade/explosions. I would rather see they dead under Death Star ray than that.

Overall I'd give it 7/10.

Cheesy. The dialog wasn't cheesy. It was rotten. So clichéd it made my brain hurt. The whole blind jedi nonsense repetition of one with the force was also mind numbing. Giving it a Star Wars name was insulting.

Same with TFA btw. Right now I am trying to figure out which one I found worse. TFA or this!

He is not a Jedi though  but I agree about the chanting. Not really Star Wars stuff

So I rewatched this after finishing all of Andor. While I appreciated Cassian's role more the rest was more or less what I remembered. Yes Saw and the folk on Yavin got more backstory in Andor they didn't figure too large in the movie. While Krennick himself was pretty much the same Andor fleshed out his character indirectly with what happenned to Partagaz and Dedra.

Anyone who watched both, did Andor change alot what you feel about Rogue One?
