Radeon RX 9070/XT (RDNA4)

Well CanadaComps is sold out or overpriced... upon listing sheesh... 1100$ cad is too much. If anyone can get them in Canuckistan at msrp let us know.

You can get that easy enough up here too at 1200$ plus sales tax so the peso and the asus tax working as intended.

My local Micro Center still has a ton of cards in stock according to their web site. No idea how many people are still in line there. If there are a lot they're checking people out at a snail's pace.

This whole trend of the MSRP basically only being a launch discount needs to die.

The real MSRP seems to be what cards like the PowerColor Radeon RX 9070 16GB Red Devil costs.

It's pretty cool that you can actually buy a 9070 xt without using bots though.

Saw a price list and the 600$ msrp is limited to only a few skus but I got the Asus Tuff 7800xt at msrp... this time they want 150$ extra asus tax. Ill see if I can snag a Pulse or XFX swift at msrp but 600 usd is ~860 cad plus 15% tax... almost 1000 great white north shingles.

MemoryExpress has the XFX Swift Radeon RX 9070 XT close to MSRP.($884 cad = 620usd) They are sold out, but are accepting backorders.

The problem is that MSRP = the AMD model. AMD allows all of the manufacturers to set their own pricing, which might be justified if they added better cooling, etc. But ultimately, up to the oems to keep pricing down.

and the retailers are also allowed to jack up the prices as well. Which is common when demand is high.

True. True. I guess the only way to combat it is for people not to gobble a new release and fight for them to avoid retailers from imposing the early-adopters tax.

Shit. Reality just set in, pricing is nasty where I am. That 2080Ti is just gonna hold it a wee bit more. Glad I got DLSS at least, kinda added a few more years to it.
Edit: loving that power draw on the non XT though!

Ya if this stays over a grand I kinda hope they give us FSR4 for the 7000 gen so we can maybe grab a sale on Black Friday later on this year or next... Even some cut down ver of it as long as we can do good quality balanced setting upscaling.

Looking at the MSRP models it looks like the Gigabyte one might be one of the better ones. It has 3 8 pin and seen boosting to 3.2 ghz. Runs cool under 60c so a good cooler... Im checking out the XFX Swift and Saphirre Pulse but they have 2 8 pins. One of the few gpu brands Ive never owned is Gigabyte so might take the plunge on them this time.

They've really messed up the price of the 9070 in the nordics, there are more or less zero xts in stock, but hundreds of the 9070.

I really don't get the pricing of the "premium" 9070s, why would anyone pay XT money for a 9070?

It just does not make any sense, so there's not wonder that people are not desperate enough to buy them.... yet.
