Project Borealis - FAQ said:

What is Project Borealis?

Project Borealis is a fan-made game based on the Half-Life 2: Episode 3 plot outline posted by former lead Half-Life 2 writer Marc Laidlaw, titled Epistle 3. Our goal is to use Marc's writing to create the conclusion fans have been waiting for, and we're aiming to reach the same level of quality the Half-Life series is known for. The team aims to bring the Half-Life universe into a modern development setting with improved graphics, while retaining the original style and feel of Half-Life 2 and its episodes.

Grab n' play the Project Borealis: Prologue from steam!

The Prologue looks to be running UnrealEngine v5.4.4 and all Upscalers and FrameGen tech appears to be present. FSR3 appears to be the .dll swappable and upgradable FSR 3.1, nicely done Icebreaker Industries

*late edit* However, FSR 3 FrameGen only seems to appear for FSR3 in menu. Nothing a patch can't resolve :)

Didn't want to make a new thread on this, but Ars Technica is doing a series on the 20th anniversary of Half-Life 2. Their article today was about Steam and how most people hated it when it came out.

Half-Life 2 pushed Steam on the gaming masses… and the masses pushed back

The reason I'm posting the article is because Rage3D got a mention:

Problems continued on the launch day, when Valve had to publicly admit to “a number of reports from people experiencing delays with Half-Life 2 authentication.” For players who had been waiting years for the sequel to Half-Life, being forced to wait even a few more hours for those authentication problems to be resolved were left with the worst first impressions of Steam.

“I'm sure that I'd love [Half-Life 2] if I could play the damn thing,” user HeXp£Øi± raged in a Rage3D message board thread appropriately titled Half-Life 2 release ... What a DISASTER!! “Tried registering with steam to communicate on the forums about these issues and it won't even let me activate my account because the server is too busy. This sucks beyond all reason.”

Blasts from the past. Ran like butter at 4k max settings on the 7800xt. Def felt like a Half Life game.
