So the Olympics begins soon. Who is watching? Who is going? Who is excited to see the best athletes in the world compete? Who just hopes there isn't a terrorist attack?

Opening ceremony starts about 60 hours from this post, but there are events taking place before that. (BBall has started, I think?)

Don't forget to give a shout out to all of our R3D athletes who are competing this year.

So far unfortunately I haven't seen much of it because all the good stuff happens at about 4am.
 
you can add 25 golds for KAC as I just went to a thrift shop to pick up them medals in bulk
 
Another medal tally update. China and USA are storming ahead. Australia's18 golds is the most the country has ever won in an Olympics.

Olympics are now OVER. US sneaks in with the win, but China got same number of golds. Top 10 final tally shown below.

Congrats to all the athletes. Thanks to France for putting on a good show. Three cheers for the Siene for making people a bit sick.
