MSI Command Center now causing game stutter

I was trying to use MSI CC to see how hot my 6700K gets playing games such as Forza Motorsport 6 APEX and had quite a bit of stutter while running MSI CC.

I closed MSI CC and the stutter went away. I don't recall this happening in the past so I am now wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how to fix.
