My bad it's 49.99$ sorry.

Started it yesterday and finished it today. Pretty good game overall. The combat wasn't so hot but the parkour was sexcellent. Definitely worth the $5.

So far what I find is that combat just seems unnecessary and gets in the way of the parkour half the time. I do like the pressure of being chased by the cops, which gives you a reason to keep moving. In fact, my favorite sections so far are the ones where you're running and cops are pouring out from all over. You're obviously not meant to fight them, so your only choice is to run.
I kind of wish the whole game was kept that way, maybe even made the cops unkillable (except maybe kicking them off buildings and such) so you had to use your environment to your advantage to get away.
On hard you HAVE to kill at least some of them, if you don't you get taken down hard but so so many bullets... especially in a couple of parking sections where the big guns come out.

Short but very sweet. I really hope there is a sequel of some kind. The story could have been better. But, the gameplay was unique and fun. I like it much better with the runner vision OFF. The environment looked more natural with it off and the game was harder. When you got cops and ninjas chasing you it is very hectic finding the right route. I also thought the movement and controls were very well done. Crouch jumps really felt like you were gliding, you could really feel every landing, and wall walking was surreal.![]()

Probably because I'm playing on normal for now, but all I ever do to take down enemies is a jump kick plus a couple of punches, rinse repeat. That's why I find the combat to be so incredibly boring and gets in the way of the action.
I'm guessing that sort of stuff won't work on hard and you have to do some of the fancier moves, and if that's the case then I'll look forward to it. Guess I could practice the harder moves now while the game's still easy, but since there hasn't been a need for them I haven't really bothered trying.
They've already confimed Mirror's Edige 2 is being worked on by a small team at DICE. However no release date or any other information has been released. But it is on the way!
Edit: After some more digging, it appears that Mirror's Edge 2 may have been cancelled due to the economy and EA focusing on guarenteed sales.
, Im glad i waited for an nvidia card to play this as it was worth it.
, but me being console-FPS gimpy, that's where my only frustration with this game comes from.
also control wise, keyboard + mouse blows the console version out of the water.the pc version completely blows the console versions out of the water, beatiful looking game.

I tried the game with the xbox 360 controller and it was frustrating.
With no autoaiming and even with it, Keyboard+mouse will always own a controller.
