Mirror's Edge + Patch

I know it's hard for you to understand, not not every games main feature is it's 'campaign' mode.

I think I have to agree with you there, while the campaign was designed to introduce play style and gameplay mechanics, flesh out story and main characters, the real staying power of the game is the time trials and racing friends.
It's a shame that multiplayer never would have worked, but I think they did a good job with racing the ghosts.

Yep, as I posted before, "The time trials are the game, that's where you get your money's worth. Its just you versus the environment, the way it should be! No silly guys with guns or ninja retards chasing you around the map."

Warning: trying to get 3 stars on all the time trials will give the average casual gamer a brain aneurysm - proceed at your own risk.

Bought this game in the Steam sale for £3.74 to try out the physX stuff on my GTX260. Bit sad really as I've just ordered the HD5850 today!

Only got 10 minutes in the training area but it looked nice and is different to the usual first person shooters I like. Would have played more but the wife insisted I help wrap the Xmas presents for our 2 kids. Something to do with I was responsible for at least 50% of their births!!!

Will try again on boxing day and see if the levels are any good. With regards to completion time COD MW2 was way too short and the price was scandalous. Also, many of the levels were very similiar to MW1 and to charge people £40 was ludicrous. Luckily I only paid £27 at Tesco but still felt dissapointed.

I think ME will take me longer as its not your bog standard FPS game. We'll see I guess but for the price I really don't care LOL.

Cheers

Man this game is annoying. It's like pure trial&error gameplay where error means instant death and loading last checkpoint that can be mile away because the game doesn't support quick save or quick load.

Most likely I won't be finishing this game because dying 20 times in one spot can get old really fast.

lol noob :D
No really it just takes practice to learn what jumps you can make, and what you can't make. Also the single player is fun for taking your time and finding interesting ways of doing things. If you are having trouble look up the world record speed runs on youtube, they are great for teaching you the way through a level.

EDIT: Also quicksave is kinda pointless, as it takes like literally 1 minute (or less) to get to where you died before.

20x1min = 20min.

Quicksave FTW.

dudes I got batman AA, Mirrors Edge, Stalker chernoble, ghostbusters for 40 bucks last night...

but anyway I just started Mirrors edge and definatly think its worth the 5 bucks I paid for it lol. 5 bucks !! I love steam!

All I have to say is wow to batman aa that game is ridiculous.

I just bought the Eidos pack for like 30$ and Batman AA is in there. I hate Steam lol, sooooo many good deals right now, just like the Rockstar pack, all GTA games for 39$? I haven't played any of them to completion. The farthest I got was 15% on Vice City.
