how to listen to movies via Bluetooth headset on older equipment

Hi All,

I have an older projector and stereo receiver, I want to watch movies late at night, can't do it with my current set up as it wakes the family. What are my options so that I can listen to the sound with my Bose Bluetooth headset?

Erg, there's plenty of cheap BT transmitters you can find on Amazon that will connect to your projector/stereo via 3.5mm or L/R RCA but the tricky part is if it will sync to what's going on screen. BT 5.2 specs mention something about lower latency audio so this may have been solved since I last looked into this way way back in the past where I've seen reports that the audio gets out of sync from the video due to the latency of BT.

Not really. If your headphones don't support the newer codecs that supposedly fixes this issue then hopefully your projector/receiver/media source has a simple slider to delay the video a bit to allow the slower BT codecs time to do their thing.
