🤣 I had the same reaction.

Apparently, the original idea was her colour would change based on her emotional state. However, that idea didn't continue in Halo 2. So with the remasters, they just make her blue to be consistent with the later games.

No multiplayer, and already been done many times before. They would need to make multiplayer work better between the inputs too.

Some early testing from PCGH. Note that it is in German, so you may need to use translation.

Looking like ASD (Advanced Shader Delivery) support is allowing Radeon hardware to beat the #stutterstruggle here.

I guess I'll play this just for the new shiny graphics.

I was initially just going to skip it as it felt like I just finished the master chief collection a year or two ago,, but then I looked at my achievement list, it was 6 years ago.

The way you perceive the passage of time sometimes gets weird as you get older.

Some performance testing from TechpowerUp, along with some screen shots to compare the various settings levels.

Patch released

July 29 Patch Overview

This update to Halo: Campaign Evolved brings enhanced stability across multiple platforms, adjustments to multiple enemy AI behaviors, and more.

Please note that this update includes changes that require mid-mission saved progress to be reset when the update is installed. Any unlocked Missions or Rally Points will remain available.

Resolved Issues

The following list contains issues that have been fixed or improved since the previous release. Many improvements come from Halo Support tickets submitted by our community. Thank you for participating and please keep submitting tickets!

  • Stability has been improved when watching or skipping the introduction cinematic in the mission The Maw while FSR is turned on with AMD graphics cards using driver versions 26.6.2 or 26.6.4.
  • All PC versions now display a warning when Halo: Campaign Evolved is launched with an AMD or NVIDIA GPU driver version that has known issues.
  • XBOX Gamertags now display throughout the account linking process for PlayStation® and Steam players.
  • General stability improvements for the mission Pillar of Autumn.
  • Jackals in the hanger hallway of The Truth and Reconciliation now actively patrol instead of remaining idle.
  • On Assault on the Control Room, Spec Ops Elites near Rally Point Delta now engage the player as intended.
  • On Assault on the Control Room, enemies no longer walk into the Control Room exterior.
  • The Hunter pair now consistently engages the player after approaching the cartographer’s entrance on The Silent Cartographer.
  • A charged Plasma Pistol shot no longer kills players who have full health and shields on any difficulty.
  • Performance improvements have been made to reduce hitching for players with large friends lists on Windows PC, Steam, and PlayStation®.

Finished this weekend. Was a nice romp, very pretty and definitely worth a play for those that haven't been back in ages. The game-play however might feel a liiiittle dated if you've never played it... but I think you can get to grips pretty quickly as it is pretty standard FPS sorta stuff.

Pro tip.. if you don't like motion blur, film grain or chromatic chromatic aberration effects and want to tamp the RT boiling effect abit... I would suggest creating an engine.ini and plop the below in.

**Remember to set the engine.ini file to read-only after you save it. Otherwise halo will remove it on launch**

Code:
[SystemSettings]
r.SceneColorFringeQuality=0
r.SceneColorFringe.Max=0
r.FilmGrain=0
r.DefaultFeature.MotionBlur=0
r.MotionBlurQuality=0
r.MotionBlur.Max=0
r.Lumen.ScreenProbeGather.Temporal.MaxFramesAccumulated=12
r.Lumen.DiffuseIndirect.Temporal.MaxFramesAccumulated=12
r.Tonemapper.Quality=0
**Remember to set the engine.ini file to read-only after you save it. Otherwise halo will remove it on launch**

You can find the location of where to put the engine.ini file in the below URL

There is also a rather good Ultra Plus mod for this if you want to push graphics further or want a nicer interface for tweaking things beyond the defaults. Including things like enabling/forcing DLSS-RR.
