Got a NOS TV from 2019, has DP 1.2 and audio issues at 4K 60hz

It's actually a 43" 4K Samsung signage TV (got it free from work, yeah I know commercial signage TV's are not "consumer" TV's but overall doesn't look much different from an actual TV.........best feature of the signage is it has a "matte" screen, perfect for my living room as it significantly reduced glare making it much more usable during the day vs my other TV that had a glossier screen).

Inputs are 2x HDMI, 1 DP, and 1 DVI port. Since my 5070ti has a DP I figured why not use that instead of HDMI and leave the HDMI's for other sources (Blu-ray, Switch, Cablebox, etc).

Quite happy with the picture quality after tweaking the TV settings but here's my issue - random crackling/popping sound most noticeable when running 4K 60hz at fullscreen (going "borderless" when available kinda helps but it still happens intermittently). Changing the audio bitrate from 48000hz to 32000hz didn't help....what seemed to help alot more was either lowering the game resolution to 1440p, or stay at 4K but lower the Hz to 50Hz. Another thing I tried that seems to help is changing the color from "RGB Full" to "YCbCr422", so far not noticing any degradation to the video output and I can stay at 4K 60hz with almost no audio crackling or popping.

I did try a couple different DP cables, all had the same result (didn't get better or worse with 3 different cables, 2 of them were new DP 1.4 cables). Also tried another DP port on my 5070ti, no change there either. I don't recall this happening much when using HDMI on my other TV, also tried HDMI on this TV for a little bit, didn't have the issue for the small amount of testing I did.

Anyone else have audio crackling issues when using the video card's audio via DP or HDMI? Thought about trying a Vesa certified DP80 cable but that's probably overkill.....wondering what else I should look at.... Thanks!

It could just be an oddity with the displays DP input. What is the model number of the display?

Does the same thing happen if you adapt a DP to HDMi? If all else fails with the DP inputs... I would probably just use HDMi and maybe get a little auto HDMi switcher from Monoprice or Amazon.

Back to HDMI cable and the audio signal seems much more stable (I can even hear the "Win11 startup sound" now).

I may try one of those HDMI to DisplayPort adapters so I can use another source in the DisplayPort (seems like this was unstable at 4K 60hz even though the manual said it supports 4K 60hz on DP and HDMI....but since the DP seemed fine at 1440p 60hz and 1080p 60hz, I'll use something that only outputs to 1080p in that port)
