for me it looks like 3dmark score was right all along...

In my development testing I have seen similar results if not even more dramatically in favor of the ATI products. Seems cG can't help a lesser product be competitive in this rendering discipline....

I want to see some 9600/pro vs 5600/ultra results... it'll probably some out similar to this.

Edit: oops didn't read far enough, they are there.

I wonder if Half Life 2 will continue this trend.

If it's using a lot of ps2.0 it will. I laugh at everyone who said synthetic benchmarks don't mean anything. Hmmm, this dx9 game show's exactly what the synthetics have been telling us for almost a year. The nv30/35 cards suck at dx9/ps2 operations.

Wow...that's not even fair (the results not the bench)

I thought that nV would have tried to work something out on PS 2.0 before real games came out using it. This may be the beginning of the final stage of the ongoing nV FX expose. Between 3DMark, UT2k3, and now this, what else could go wrong? Probably Half-Life 2 or Doom 3 unless nV really decided to buckle and create some real DX9 hardware. Just IMHO and $.02...

Doesn't that Tomb Raider game have a 'The Way it's Meant to be Played' logo on it?

...Could've swore it did....

Lucky thing I bought a Sapphire Radeon 9500 instead of a G - Force 4 Ti 4600, from what I heard I made the right choice... hehehehe..

Asus... ATI... AMD all the way baby.. Rock solid performance w/ minimal investment..

Hmm...

Me thinks Nvidia should just change their logo to ...

Nvidia the way it's meant to be OWNED * by ATI * :p

I own p4 2.8 and Radeon 9700Pro, and all I know is that this game is unplayable. I don't care what bench says, but in real time gaming, the game runs like crap.

This game is running well, only when you replace shader hardware option with fixed hardware function.

Come on people, how many of you can play this game?
None of them!!!

Todays video cards are not ready of DX 9.0 games, do not expect to have playable frame rate. Anybody who is saying that is a liar, just a marketing move.

r3xx, gfx are great cards only for DX 8.1. For DX 9.0 games, you should get DX 9.1 or even DX 10.0 card, in order to have awesome FPS. I can't play the game where FPS is jumping from 20 to 35 and than go back to 15 and so on. **** that DX 9.0 gaming....

Change "Todays" to "nVidia's" and that statement works.

Anyone dumb enough to buy an FX card needs a bat to the head. Seriously, with the current ATi offerings, it's just stupid to do so.
