Hello!
I use Ati remote driver.
But program crash during 60 minutes (random time).
Thank for help, Petr

I have the same problem. The 3.02 remote wonder software starts normally, I can see the icon and use the remote wonder. But after some time it's randomly crashes "AtiRW.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close".

My operating system: Windows XP Media Center 2005

I'll try to install the X10 driver: http://www.x10.com/support/support_soft1.htm

If it's not working, I'll try to downgrade to remote wonder 2.5, maybe it supports XP MC 2005.

Finally I've solved the problem, the remote wonder is working now.
As I read many forum threads there are 4-5 main problems with this remote wonder, I'will try to gather & write the solutions.

1, Ati remote wonder 3.02 randomly crashed me at idle under WinMC2005, so I recommend you to use the 3.01 version.
http://www.ati-news.de/HTML/Download/remote.shtml

2, If you are using ATI all in wonder with MMC software, first uninstall the remote wonder & MMC, restart the pc, and after this firstly install the remote wonder soft., restart, and when your RW is working you can install the MMC.

2,5 If you are using only the remote wonder software, first uninstall the existing RW software, restart the pc, and after this you can start the installation.

3, If your remote wonder asks for MFC71.dll, copy it to the rw software directory and restart the pc. AtiTool uses this dll, if you don't have download it.

4, The remote wonder not starts you can't see the icon. Hit alt-ctrl-del/processes, if you can see rundll.exe or something similar and you can't see ATIRW.EXE running, it's a registry problem.
start menu/run/ type 'regedit'
search for: x10net.dll
You should find this kind of entries like this:
"rundll32.exe C:\PROGRA~1\ATI Multimedia\RemCtrl\x10net.dll"

- Right click on Default and select Modify
- Change PROGRA~1 and ATIMUL~1 to Program Files and ATI Multimedia
- Add quotation marks around the path like this:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\rundll32.exe "C:\Program Files\ATI Multimedia\RemCtrl\x10net.dll",EntryPoint

C:\WINDOWS\System32\rundll32.exe "C:\Program Files\ATI Multimedia\RemCtrl\x10net.dll",EntryPoint "%1"

There are two possible variations of the registry entry; one with and without "%1". Do not add or remove the "%1" if it appears.

Restart the computer.

5, The remote wonder not starts you can't see the icon. Hit alt-ctrl-del/processes, if you can see ATIRW.EXE running but you don't have icon on the taskbar, it's an usb driver problem.
Go to start menu/settings/control panel/performance and maintenance/system/hardware/device manager/universal serial bus contorllers/ right click on ATI Remote Wonder choose update driver, and at the final question select let me update the driver and you should select "ATI Wireless Remote Receiver V2.36" here, if you can see the icon now, you've solved the problem. :)
