Oi if this extends to entering for family. I have a gamer nephew just itching to have a better experience cause he hasn't been able to play the newer games that need greater than a 6670/7790 with 1GB ram.

Yes, I did it for over a year. Works great.

With Windows 7 and gaming it really did work great. Once I went to Win 10 it became less so plus the games coming out then was also not as supportive. My performance was virtually the same as a 290x/290x combo with same cpu etc. Basically the Master Card has like a 5% overhead or more in which matches up relatively well with a 290x/290 combo. Now the 290x is in the box and the 290 is in the HTPC (the 290x would not fit).

I have a 280 which i scraped together a few tuppence for which is a great card for 1080p, but as a poor peasant from the rough cobbled streets of Englund governa a 290 would butter my bread roll you bet ya.
