nVidia has not boasted any quantity claims. I'm betting the opposite. nVidia are limiting production to keep prices high and continue push selling off the remaining 30x0 cards.

The 4090s will be all gone in seconds.

That's how MC does it and sometimes BB. Usually BB let's you buy online for store pickup only if the local warehouse has the inventory.

Microcenter doesn't allow purchases online for high demand items. They force you to the store, unless like Zen 4 it hasn't turned out to be high demand.

They are selling the 3000 series on their site. I don't know why they wouldn't sell the 4090FEs there too.

I think they got rid of the SLI pins not because multi GPU is dead, but because current motherboards dont have PCI-E slots spread out far enough apart to fit two of these things in a single PC.

amd dumped the Crossfire bridge or the 290X a long time be SLI/CFX died

a 5.0 pcie 16x or even 8x slot should be able to do it AMD did it on 3.0 pcie

but for two 4090's you will need two PSU's

The strix makes the 4090 FE look like a normal card.

Even if they could do it, it would be a potential PR nightmare if they somehow locked someone's card because it was installed early. Most buyers wouldn't be expected to know the release date or that anything was amiss, so it would basically be punishing an innocent person.

FYI, the RTX4090 ASUS TUF and ASUS STRIX seems to be running the exact same PCB - waterblocks are interchangeable between the two, like they were for Ampere/3000 series.

Big thing for this, is that the ASUS TUF is $1599, aka MSRP, for the 4090. This PCB design is very similar to 3090TI, so should be relatively quick for blocks to be released.

I think the TUF will be the card to grab if you can flash the STRIX BIOS for higher power limit.

MSI & Asus cards with pre-applied blocks have always been late few and hard to find
might get a gigabyte if you want it

even the asus poseidon's that were both air or water were late


but maybe this time with the air cooled cards the size of a shoebox for a pair size 18's

Thanks, right now its just collecting dust. Was thinking of putting it up for sale for a small profit, but decided against it. There are a lot of non airo zotac's still available for sale, but not the airo extreme; so not taking the chance.

Still no luck with drivers though. I think only big name reviewers have a driver right now (Linus seems to have one).

I emailed zotac support and they were like, you dont have a 4090, you are mistaken; Its probably a 30 series card being passed on as a 4090.
