Do you have a DVI to HDMI adapter? You might be able to use the Vive connected to the DVI that way, although I can't absolutely guarantee that it will work. HDMI straight to the Vive is the "safest" method.

I don't at the moment but that's a pretty good idea. I'll pick one up tomorrow and give that a try. Worst case scenario is that it doesn't work and I have an extra adapter.

I don't think any VR game supports SLi or GSync. However, not being able to drive displays would drive me up the wall.

I just think for times like these, you need to have a separate productivity and gaming putters.

I need to get back in VR. It really shows how unfit I am. I was playing space pirate trainer and after about 15-20 minutes had ache in my arm holding the gun.

I am getting old but it is still good stuff. Climb has been one of the best experiences I have had. Still didn't go very far in lone echo. Kind of stuck at the red tutorial where that idiot robot wants me to navigate a minefield using arm thrusters

Wow, glad I got the Rift.

Btw why I get blurry eyes after playing VR for some time. I have to take it off and shut it down because it goes absolutely blurry after a while (say 30-45 minutes).

Also, I am still not enjoying the experience with my glasses. Don't have time or money to get contacts about now.

loosen the straps, i did exactly the same thing, took a couple days to figure out.
It also makes it easier to get the sweet spot in view.

Yes, this whole straps thing is something I dislike. It makes for imprecise adjustments especially when you are sharing the rift between kid, wife and self.

Again same problem here, it took me 20mins last night playing battlezone classic to figure what was up, that the straps were to loose, which is why i kept losing clarity.

loosen all of the straps, put the very back part below center of the back of your head, tighten the top strap, enjoy. That is how it is supposed to be worn, you can then lightly tighten the side straps if you want.

Second gen will kick ass... I have a PS4 VR and while you can see its flaws, it still kicks ass !

Finally got my Farpoint and PSVR Aim controller. Awesome combo. The Aim controller is awesome. Only had to wait 2 months before it was in stock again for a few hours!

I bought Brookhaven because it was on sale for $11 on the playstation store. I want to buy Arizona sunshine as well but $40 seems steep. Would go for it at $20.

Here's my advice to save you some time
order a 3rd sensor, and an active usb cable extension
also adjust win10 usb3.0 power management
Once you've created an Oculus account, set it to beta (which is a lot more stable than the public release version).
Download and install Oculus try tool (which you'll want for upscaling)

Go into Oculus and just type 'free' into search bar
Go into Steam an filter to Oculus and set price low to high.

That should keep you ticking over for a while.

Two up front kind of high and pointing down with one in the back. That is what I read. I have two on my desk and one in the back, and 360 tracking works great with no issues.

Make sure you test tracking properly with games before you fix them. I can't remember how many threads/posts I have read where a person mounted/drilled holes and then had to move the damn things as it wasn't functioning properly. .

2 in the front and 1 direct at the back is what works for most people. If you got another 60 to spare (which I am sure you do), you should go for a 4 sensor setup and just be all pro-like!

That guide is bull. Magus has the right setup.

The oculus setup will tell you what you can and cant do during actual install. The sensors need to overlap and you can see that onscreen. If anything is out of place the setup will make you do adjustments before proceeding.

So their room scale guide is ****. They use a 12x12 room as an example but cameras can't be more than 10 feet apart. I have two on the side wall and one in the middle. It's a smaller room setup but works nice for everything so far.

Any good open world fantasy VR apps? I notice alot of the better VR games tend to be from the smaller devs, but AAA releases are few and far in between.

Got the urge these days to play something adventurous like a Skyrim/Witcher like setting, even if on a much smaller scale. Skyrim VR won't be out for a while and to be honest, it doesn't really excite me because I already played Skryim and know what it's about.
