Eve Valkyrie being included is a nice bonus but it's not the reason I jumped on this. Fallout 4 VR and Doom VR are my main reasons for jumping on this deal.

I'm sure they'll be mods to make it work.
Honestly I'm getting pretty excited about picking this up tommorow. I loved psvr, can't imagine how this is going to look with a GTX 1080 ti powering it.

and they got one at the best buy near me for 1 hour pickup
but the sale is for 6 weeks they say, so I think I'll wait a few more weeks and see how it shakes out
rather not have a half ass work a round hack that ZeniMax could still lock it to HTC Vive only somehow
Earlier today, Bethesda announced that a special virtual reality version of Fallout 4 was coming to the HTC Vive. Which seemed a weird thing to say, since not many games are ever announced just for that particular VR platform.
Bethesda had plenty of big VR projects to showcase at E3 2017 this week, but there’s been a little confusion as to when you’ll get to play what on which platforms. If you have a high-end headset, though, there’s a good chance you’ll get to play
maybe HTC Vive will drop price some to be closer because 800 is more than i'll pay for a toy I may not like or not use much

Got my Rift all setup this afternoon. OMG this thing is so much better than PSVR. The touch controllers are leaps and bounds better than the move controllers on the PSVR. I cant believe how accurate they are. I've already walked into a wall lolCan't wait to move into my new apartment in September, I'll have a whole room I can dedicate to VR. Played some Robo Recall, wow is all I have to say, visually stunning.

Anyone tried to watch a 360 movie? is it just me or does it suck immensely.
Who's idea was it to make me turn completely around to see everything that is going on? I can't see this being a thing long term unless movie makers do a MUCH better job.Phobos:

Can't wait for the next iteration.

Picked up a couple more games:
Mages Tale - so far it's been really fun and the new locomotion movement works great.
Arizona Sunshine - the locomotion makes me a bit nauseous after about 30 min. Think I will switch back to teleport.
Also picked up Onward, I think I need to watch a beginners guide. I couldn't figure out how to reload lol.
3rd sensor came today, pain to set up.

Was just playing The Climb. Wow! Hopefully you have 9ft ceilings haha, this game has you reaching way above you to grab onto the next ledge. I actually felt weak in the knees from how high up you feel. Awesome game.
Also my cats have taken to attacking the cable.Last edited by Dave; Jul 15, 2017, 12:52 AM.

So, standing and walking around and interacting with your hands comes very naturally, whereas just sitting ends up feeling kind of weird (with the exception of games where it makes sense like racing sims).
Agreed. I had the same thoughts before getting my rift. Now that I have it, it feels weird to play sitting down

Headtracking, motion controls and visual fidelity usually dominate the conversation about what makes for an "immersive" virtual reality experience, but great sounding audio is every bit as important -- that's why the Oculus Rift ships with built-in headphones. The on-ear speakers are more than adequate for a good VR experience but at Oculus Connect 3, the company announced an alternative that might be just a little bit better: the Oculus Rift Earphones. I got my hands on a pair before leaving the developer conference, and I can say that Oculus' confidence in the earbuds is justified: these things sound pretty great.

My Rift and touch both have shipped. If I am lucky I get them same day around Wed/Thu. Will need to re-do my space on the lounge to make it work. Also lock my kids in a room or my little one is going to destroy it within minutes.
I still don't know which games I want to purchase so ideas on this are welcome. I am thinking for now, Superhot, Climb, and Eagle Flight. Any more worth indulging immediately? I heard it comes with 7 games so that should keep me busy for a bit?
