Legacy Support for GeForce 6-series and GeForce 7-series GPUs
GeForce 6-series and GeForce 7-series GPUs have moved to legacy support with the
GeForce Release 304 drivers. These products are no longer supported beginning with
the GeForce Release 310 drivers."
Geforce 7 already moved to legacy ... quiet quick

Installation issues with GeForce driver version 364.47
We have received reports of some users having issues installing today's Game Ready Driver, version 364.47.
Initial investigation suggests the issue is isolated to multiple-monitor configurations. Should you experience issues, you can either disconnect one monitor during the driver installation (and reconnect once completed) or you can uninstall the driver through Windows Safe-Mode and revert to a previous version.
Our driver team is actively investigating the issue and we will have more information shortly
Fermi Paradox*: "The apparent size and age of Fermi die suggests that many technologically advanced GPUs ought to exist.
However, this hypothesis seems inconsistent with the lack of observational evidence to support it."
Uninstalled the old driver, booted into safe mode and ran DDU + CCleaner rebooted into Windows and installed the new driver. No issues.

How is performance in The Division with these puppies?
You need it if you plan to use SLI. The downside is when moving the mouse to look around you get stuttering. But you get an increase in about 20FPS - 25FPS due to SLI actually working over the older driver.

So I took a look at threads about the drivers over at the geforce site.
Man, what a huge cluster **** Nvidia is creating for themselves.
I'm holding off on drivers for a while. Seems they released a set that is BSOD'ing people left and right.
What is the deal with Nvidia these days with their driver problems? Is it the unified drivers across multiple chips that is giving them issues or is it just plain old incompetence?

Rushed out **** to give the illusion they are doing good with all their "performance enhancing" doings whenever new games come out so dummies buy more of their products.
All that rushing is coming back to take a good healthy stomach satisfying chunk out of nvidias collective ass.

We need both companies in business.Seems is hard to maintain such complex drivers this days. You fix something and something else is changed.
I am one of the "dummies" that bought a nvidia this time after much amd and i can see some things that can be introduced to amd release notes like many more "issues" that are not really related to AMD but OS.Very helpful.
Without the pressure that AMD had this years with money and market share we may not had Mantle and DX12..Nvidia somehow was resting on it's market share and DX11 winings and AMD just pull the rabbit from the hat with DX12.The funny thing is there may not be an imediate solution for Nvidia performance disatvantages in DX12 games.
I am not denying that the "symptoms" of competitivity between the two companies are kinda ... foolish and childish but this is reflected in other zones of society so this is the level of maturity we have now..

No doubt we need both AMD and Nvidia around. Also despite my post throwing shade at Nvidia I too am one of those dummies and I have been for 14 years.
I'm just salty that nvidia has been poop lately with their drivers and giving me problems in the games I play.

That's funny you say that "nvidia" have bad drivers...Usually amd get this "theory" ... And as i see you are not SLI complainer either ,,
Do you have problems with latest AAA titles?
I begin to expect issues for a while after a game is launched...Seems like big publishers don't want to wait for the game to be polished and tested but just released in time...Seems one of the few studios that really care about this is CDprojeckt with their Witcher series. They actually postponed the launch for geting the game polished enough..They learned from others mistakes.
The funny thing people may have to learn with imperfection of humanity...We have 2 big GPU vendors that produce for gaming and many imperfection ... The thirst for being first and agressivity style blind them some time...The guys behind the driver teams may have a lot of stress on their shoulders and this may take a toll on QA.

I've been on a Triple A strike mostly so I wouldn't know. The reason is as you stated devs and publishers don't polish and test they just vomit out yearly **** and i got tired of it.
The only games I've bought recently were Witcher 3 and Rise of the Tomb Raider.
My driver issues revolve mostly around TDR's for the last 4 driver revisions nvidia have put out. The last good drivers were 359.06.

I begin to restrain myself playing a game when it's released...There are two sides that if they don't get togheter too well the game ends up released with challenges...The funny thing is the Rise of tomb raider is an nvidia title so it's ironic...I have many games on my list to play and especially indies that are original that may keep me from craving to play a AAA game on day 1...
btw... i begin to play Witcher 2 a couple of months ago...

Haven't had many issues with NVidia drivers as of past couple of months except SLi not working on release which was fixed promptly, usually faster than AMD fixes it for the games so not sure what is the hoopla around bad NV drivers.

Ohhh there were some major **** ups on Nvidia's part recently.

I just installed 364.72 and immediately noticed screen tearing in firefox when scrolling up/down. Checked the options and HW accel and fluent scrolling are still on. Ideas?

Added Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR) support for SLI configurations driving a GSync monitor
Wasn't this fixed a while ago?
Power Saving: The driver now puts the GPU in the OFF state, with video memory in
self-refresh mode, when the monitor is blanked or inactive. (Windows 10)
Well after 1-3 grey screens of death a day (except from monday-thursday this week for some reason) and now Diablo 3 crashing on me, has not ONCE crashed in 4 years, i dropped back to 362.00s. I dunno why a WHQL driver would have issues, i believed they had stronger tests! This card and drivers have been flawless up until the 364.51 came out. Ill test these out and hope for the best.
