It might be overkill and probably just intended for when changing from AMD to Nvidia or vice versa. But I guess using it can eliminate the chance of residual driver files causing a problem if you want to be thorough.

That's how I've always removed drivers.
Uninstall through Program/Features.
Reboot into Safemode.
Run DDU.
Run CCleaner.
Reboot and install the latest driver.
Don't have any issues with Hardware Acceleration in Chrome, no crashing in any titles.
Although I only install the display driver and nothing else since its all garbage.Intel Core i9 10900K @ 5.2GHz, Asus Maximus XII Apex, GSkill Trident-Z Royal DDR4 3200MHz 32GB CAS11, Asus Strix 3080Ti OC, Creative Labs SXFI Theater, Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB, Corsair AXI 1500i PSU, ThermalTake View 71, Corsair K95 Platinum RGB, Corsair Dark Core RGB SE, Acer Predator X34, Windows 10 Professional X64

I've had to reload windows a few times from using them, and have not used them in years
just load over the top or let driver unload itself from windows control panel if need be with both amd and nv drivers
but on " Display Driver stopped responding" when they going to get a new driver out, I've only had it do it twice both on IE
have not rolled back yet till it does it more

These drivers are ****ed. I got a random 0x070 blue-screen. I'm not planning on playing Witcher 3 until the big 600 change patch comes so I rolled back to 350.12.

I had one "Display Driver Stopped Responding" a couple of days ago when I first installed them. Then I was playing CSGO about 30min ago and my game closed on its own .. I was like alright ..
Went to open Google Chrome and it stopped responding. Tried to open again, stopped responding. Rage clicked it again to open and it halted my PC and blue-screened.
I didn't have these issues with 350.12 so I'll just wait patiently. I'm in no rush to play Witcher 3 anyway.Originally posted by curioEat this protein bar, for it is of my body. And drink this creatine shake, for it is my blood.

i'll leave the 8.1 boot drive out till they get 352.86 fixed
That really sucks, did you try it on the amd rig?Originally posted by ManglerGood work guys, we can't have too many positive posts in a row on this forum.

only had a win 7 drive for the nv system left but fallout 3 seem to work fine on 7, you still have to do the 4 core lock up fix but it works on 7
now new vegas runs on both so far

Getting these TDR all over the place when I didn't before. I got it frequently with new drivers in Dota 2 when I never got it before unless I was overclocking. Also I get it sometimes now with Firefox.
I believe this has been the worst time for me to move to nVidia but considering there was nothing from AMD and people were generally praising Kepler, I thought Maxwell would follow. Sadly the drivers are just killing it now.*Sending A Dream Into the Universe*

Huh I may have found the culprit for my display driver crashes. X-55 Rhino Profile would stop responding whenever a crash occurred. Disabled that **** from startup (the stick still works in games) and bam! no more crashes. Played witcher 3 for hours. Turned the rhino profile back on just to test and witcher3 crashed within 15 minutes.Jim Lahey: You know whats at work here? Its **** tectonics. When two **** plates strike and come together under incredible pressure, what happens Bubbs?
Bubbles: What Mr Lahey?
Jim Lahey: ...****-quake.

I was going to replace my 970 with 980ti but seeing how they don't support an OS that is less than 3 month away while promoting DX12 on their frontpage...
I will wait and see

The game likes to start up in windowed mode if you have some sort of window open in the background. If you continue on, load your save, your frames tank. If you load a game without the window mode activated, your frames are fine.
Driver is sturdy.
