I've got 2 random Display Driver stopped responding errors over the past 2 days since installing the newest drivers. I've never had this issue before. I was only using Internet Explorer and my card was pretty much idle at 24 degrees but it spikes during the crash. No crashes here with the recent Witcher 3 game ready driver.
I always do clean install, and exclude the 3d Vision driver and HD audio driver.Comment

I've had no problems with the new driver, but I did read that it might have an issue with chrome on some other parts of the interwebs.Comment

I think it's related to GPU acceleration in the browser. Maybe the new drivers are keeping the voltages too low in the idle and when the GPU acceleration demands something from the card, it's too unstable.Comment

Was wondering if I had yet another hardware issue with my 970 but as I can see here this is a driver problem, rolled back due to crashing since the day I installed them. Most of the time it crashed while browsing but I believe it also crashed when I was in an extended play of Diablo 3. It recovered though. As others have stated I have not seen this error since a long time ago with my AMD cards.Comment
