        .

Microsoft has again caused some confusion by releasing a new Nvidia Geforce driver via Windows Update which appears as an Important update for some Windows 8.1 users. Official details of what the driver update contains are not available, however this thread (https://forums.geforce.com/default/t...as-important-/) on the GeForce Forums indicates that it is a slightly newer 347.90 driver, and may be a minor bugfix release. In any case there's no reason to install it; you can right-click on it and select 'Hide update' to remove it from Windows Update.

The latest driver caused me some issues. Haven't had to roll back a driver in ages. That goes for both amd and nvidia.

There were one or two drivers that have given me a blue screen. However things are normal now.

Which one is working for you?

The last driver that Nvidia posted caused me some issues that required a roll back. First time that I've had to do that in years. That includes my time with amd cards too.

Baba, are you talking about 347.88? I've been loving them! I do have an issue with random CTD's in CSGO but I can't put a finger on what it is. I don't think it's the GPUs or drivers to be honest..

What drivers are you running now then?

I'm running 347.25 now and have been for quite a while.

347.88 caused my pc to seem to boot up really slowly. Happened after a couple of restarts and reinstalls. I just rolled back. Even tried a system restore and install. Then ran prime 95 since, you never know.

The current driver is fine for me. It was the driver in the middle 347.52 or something.

Finally figured out issue with blue screens on my PC. It was not the NVidia drivers. I had replaced the ram and for some reason forgotten to manually give voltage to the CPU. So now I gave it 1.38 volts and things are back to normal.

Late reply it does if you either have 3D Vision IR emiter, or 3D TVPlay.

I use a LG Passive display.

                                        Yes, but a couple caveats.

First, it's only 720p/60fps per eye, or 1080p/30fps per eye. Not as bad as it sounds, 3D looks higher resolution because of the alternating image in each eye (kind of like double 720p), plus lots of filtering like SSAA cleans it up.

Secondly, you need Nvidias '3dtv play', which you get for free if you already have their 3D kit or 3dvision monitor, otherwise you have to pay a once off licencing fee if just for a TV. Pretty sure you can get a trial though, which is what you would want. Be aware, 3D via a TV isn't the greatest for gaming, but should still give you a novel experience.

You can have 1080p/60fps per eye with passive displays but you get half the vertical resolution per eye (regardless if it's 720P or 1080P seeing how that's how 3D works on passive), your brain blends them together so you don't even notice anyway.

As for me 3D on my TV is fine, better than my gen1 3D Vision **** anyway.

It's only been in the work for 6 months now, I would not be surprised if they only get it working on those second gen gsync modules coming out soonish.

I would not be as annoyed if DSR was not 100% disabled as long as the ROG is hooked up to my gpu.

I mean, wtf is it unavailable when I'm using my fancy 21:9 monitor as the primary monitor and has the rog disabled?

I could understand why they would disable it as long as the rog is active as the second monitor, but not when I have it disabled.

Acer's upcoming ultra-widescreen 34-inch G-SYNC gaming monitor, the XR341CKA, will have multiple inputs according to a report published by TFT Central, which indicates possible changes to the G-SYNC V2 module as previous displays only provided one input.
