It locks up my computer anytime there is a GIF on Firefox.

I also have had a bunch of the "nVidia driver has stopped working" errors with it.

Oh, and surround is still screwed.

I reverted back to the 335's...

Maybe worth trying the new BETAs. The 337.61 I think it is.

337.61. If you're having issues with the 337.50 drivers, try the 337.61's. It's a hotfix driver for the 337.50's, and might fix any issues you're having.

Fixed! Thanks. It'll be a long shot though it only contains a couple of fixes.

Yeah, definitely not something I'd expect to fix any issues. They are very specific fixes.

              Maybe he'll get lucky.

Where are they? nVidia site doesn't have them...

I had to turn off hardware acceleration in Firefox in order to prevent the occasional hardlock/driver crash. never happened with prior drivers.

Yes, there are some issues with this driver. Turning on SGSSAA and AO in Castlevania causes some weird graphical corruption at times. Newer games are working fine though. I also get COD has stopped responding in Ghosts.

                        Meant 337.50.

Drivers are so fast, rest of PC can't keep up.

Would be nice if they didn't break the custom installer. It will error out every time. Express always works.

Is the driver worth installing? Both Divinity and GRID are running like champs for me.

For the updated profiles on those games, if you are playing them, sure. Otherwise I feel some what unhappy with these.

I'm generally fine with the current drivers, but I noticed there are another 3 nVidia background process running in task manager. They're labeled nVidia Streaming Service, so I presume they're in support of streaming to a Shield.

This is annoying. I don't have a Shield, nor would I image anything close to a majority of their customer base does - yet we're all needlessly running this process. The same thing really irked about the 3D drivers which install by default. Seriously, what percentage of their user base has a 3D monitor? Like 5% or less I'd guess. At least you can optionally not install those. I didn't see any way to disable the streaming services without doing so manually via Window's services manager.

why does nv insist on turning sli off every time I install a new driver

and lately in the last few months you can't turn it on or off with any programs running even a few background ones stop it

Does it still do that even if you don't do a clean install? I always figured its because SLI is off by default when you install the driver.

Was cleaning up some space on by dads PCs over the weekend and found the C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository path had about 4gb of nvidia driver related stuff in it.
nv* and nv_* folders from 2008 and forward or something like that.

Had about 3.3 gb in there myself on my older 80gb OS SSD, cleaned out most of it.
Supposedly this is removed when you do a Clean Install, but the versions before the last driver you DIDNT do a clean install for wont be removed, or something like that.
I do clean installs from time to time and still had a ton o stuff in there.

Found this tool, DriverStore Explorer and used it for some spring cleaning in there.

Anyone know? There were some entries that "failed" to remove with the tool.
To clarify the tool is mostly to not have to do a song and dance to claim ownership of the folders basically, which you´d have to do to delete them manually.

Several reboots later and its back to normal from what i've read its a greater performance hit than Gedosato, but the quality settings are more advanced. Still it gives you the option for AA in DX11 titles that barely have any reasonable options
