Possible to make MMC use Zap2It

    Hello,

I was just wondering if it was possible for MMC to use Zap2it TV listings since their TV Listings are much better than GuidePlus+

    Thanks

The link doesn't explain how someone got XMLTV to work with MMC.

            mmc-xmltv plugin

I am using the mmc-xmltv plugin by Sebastian

It replaces tvtv/Gemstar+ in ATI TV/Eazylook, and downloads the listings through xmltv. I just got a new version of the plugin today. But it has been around for some time... no one else is using it then?

            xmltv is found here http://xmltv.org/wiki/
It has TV listings for quite a few places in the world.

Here is an image of Eazylook with Swedish XMLTV data. The image is a bit distorted because I used a digital camera instead of a screen shot (snagit didn't want to capture it for me). I think it looks quite nice, and one can also browse what's on other channels / other times, in the semi-transparent info bar.

Thank you for your help but the mmc-xmltv is not there.
I translated the "Download" section via Google but nothing lists the guide.

Sebastian was going to reply to that, but I think he got problems registering here....

Anyway, you could send him an email and ask for the plugin. That's how I got it.

I used the email link on the website to request the plugin, but it doesn't work.
Got a error message saying unable to connect successfully to the destination mail server.
If you're still able to commiuncate with him, ask him to keep trying to register here.
Or ask him to provide the download for the English version of his plugin on his website.

                        MMC-XMLTV Guide

                        Hello to all,

I just got my activation email and am now able to write here. I'm going to check out what might be the problem with the email address on my page. I think its due to some server problems on which I have no influence. But most time it works...
So long, I was reading the messages above and want to shed some light on the mentioned things. I was developing MMC-XMLTV Guide as a replacement for Guide+, since Guide+ doesn't work for German (and for most other European) television channels. So I created a connecting DLL which makes it possible to use listings provided by XMLTV (great free listings grabber - works for a lot of countries) by ATIs Multimedia Center including a configuration and a HTML television program module.
Since Guide+ (or at least some registry entries of it) are replaced by my program, I don't know whether it is legally possible to release this program. It was meant to be released for free, but until the above mentioned has been made clear, I don't want to make it available for public.
But, if somebody wants to use it on his/her own account and risk, he can write me an email at sahlborn<at>gmx.net (replace <at> with @) and I will send a download link.
Since it isn't mentioned anywhere explicitly: MMC-XMLTV Guide is provided for free but all rights are still reserved by me. So If you want to share it with others I demand you to give them my email address that they can ask me for the link. And don't publish the program elsewhere.
I apologize for that but as I explained above it's not official yet and so I want to be careful with that. This may change, if I find out that there are no legal restrictions or conflicts in using my program. So, if anybody knows how to contact ATI or Gemstar developers to ask them questions concerning that matter, please tell me!
And to those who use my program: feel free to send me proposals on how to improve or correct it. This explicitly includes all the non-German texts used there.

So that's all for now. CU

                        Sebastian

PS: Thanks a lot @ krutknut for is amount of time spent with testing MMC-XMLTV Guide and helping me improving it!

                              MMC-XMLTV Guide download problem

                              Hello,

I've to apologize to all the people who requested a download link for the above mentioned program. Since my webspace provider seems to have some problems (my website as well as the website of my provider are redirected to DENIC (German TLD registration company)) the link will not work. I'm looking for an alternative location and send the new link as soon as I got one.
I'll call my provider tomorrow, maybe the problem will be solved soon, though.

                                Server problems

                                Hello again,

I just called my provider. They told me that they were moving all the data to another server and there went something wrong with the domains. But the problem should be solved tomorrow (hopefully). So keep trying!
